Håkøya Lodge

Everything was absolutely amazing ☺️ Nina and Björn are absolutely lovely and attentive hosts, we felt at home from the very first moment. The location of the flat is very idyllic, right on the fjord with the best view of the northern lights. We were greeted with a bottle of the best wine, freshly chilled beer and fresh eggs from the house's own chickens. The evenings can be spent cosily on the terrace by the fireplace - a big thank you to the two hosts Nina and Björn for everything.

The place is exceptionally georgeus. Beautiful and modern furnitures, full of everything you may possibly need. Great lighting and ambiance. Beds are extremely comfortable. Great choice for quite, scenic, in nature place seekers. Bonus: Warm, helpful, friendly and respectful host. We visit in a very snowy time. He cleaned the paths and our cars from the snow free of demand. He left some organic eggs from their chickens and also put few drinks to the fridge for us before we arrived.

A little bit far from the Tromso city center so if you dont have car, it would be hard to arrive and leave. Also, it can be challenging for the snow-inexperienced drivers to come and go to the place in snowy weathers.

Hakoya Lodge is an exceptional place. Before we arrived, we had read all previous very positive comments, but we did not expect it to be so great. The lodge is very comfortable, clean, tastefully and carefully designed, you have everything you may need available. The hosts are super friendly and very helpful, they gave us great hints where to make shopping, park the car in Tromso or where to drive to see northern lights. The nature around the lodge is stunning. The area is very beautiful and quiet but you are still ca. 15 minutes drive from Tromso city centre. We definitely would like to come back there!

Nothing, everything was great!

The property does not only look pretty but the functionalities in it were very well thought of. We caught glimpse of the northern lights from the backyard. Most importantly, Nina and Bjørn were fantastic host! We received good communication and useful information prior and throughout the stay.

A slightly bigger bed would definitely be a plus!

It’s a very beautiful house in a very private place. Owners are very hospitable and nice people.

Everything! The fire place added a nice cosy feel to the lounge area. The heated floors are great! The view from all the windows into the woods, stunning! The hosts were very welcoming and helpful.

Genuinely nothing!

The location of the cabin was gorgeous, away from the main area of tromso. The lodge is extremely well equipped with most things needed for our stay. Sadly the weather was not kind for our visit, but there was a beautiful outdoor seating area to enjoy the surrounds. Our hosts were fantastic with information, both before and during our stay. We loved our stay and if we ever go back to Noway, we would definitely visit again!

The only thing I would say is that we wished the beds were a little bigger as they seemed a little smaller than what we are used to in Australia.

The cabin was well equipped, stylish & comfortable in the most amazing setting, with extremely helpful & friendly hosts. Already planning on returning during the winter for a different scenery.
