Stag Cottage

Great hosts and facilities, and the local area is beautiful with plenty of public footpaths and nature trails nearby for walks. Really lovely accommodation for a relaxing getaway, we enjoyed our stay so much we booked a return visit for next year whilst we were there.

Lovely quiet location with everything we needed for a two night stay. There was plenty of food for breakfast. We did a wonderful walk from the door to a church in Morley: the owners lent us their wellies which were much needed, and pointed us in the right direction.

The road leading to the cottage is incredible bumpy but this is advertised upfront in the description. The hot water takes ages to come through from the main house but does get there eventually!

The breakfast was exceptional. The location was super , the only downside was the state of he road but this can be forgiven following the recent weather.

Cosy, clean, and extremely comfortable stay. Unfortunately, we arrived late on Friday evening but soon felt very relaxed at Stag Cottage within minutes of arriving. Paula visited to say a quick hello and to check we had everything we needed, which was very kind. The cottage is very pretty and is fully kitted out with everything you need, including a lovely continental breakfast. The cottage is extremely peaceful and just what was needed after a really long week at work. We were attending a wedding reception locally on the Friday evening and then spent some time in Nottingham on the Saturday. Coming back to Stag Cottage that afternoon was really lovely, I only wished we were staying for longer!
