Stylish modern Mews house in central St Leonards

Upon entry to the flat, we were immediately affronted by a very unpleasant musty smell! On inspection we were very disappointed to say the least by what we found, in particular, the tile grouting in the bathroom were full of a black unpleasant mould! After being there for about half an hour we found that we could not live with the general very unpleasant odour that pervaded the flat and decided to leave there and then! The owner said that he appreciated we lived in Switzerland but the UK is another country, that he had temporarily siliconed over the grout in the bathromm which caused the mould and hoped that we enjoyed the rest of our stay in the UK! Obviously, we didn't! The apartment did not live up to its "stylish" name!!

One bedroom very small with bed taking up most of the room. Nowhere to put case. Black mould in shower tiles. Kitchen and eating area not adjacent.

This home was amazing! We were very happy with our stay and the facilities this house provided. It was spacious and cosy. Had everything we needed. Couldn’t fault it and such a lovely host. A 3-4 min walk to the nearest bus stop and could get straight into Hastings easily. Co op right nearby, boots and a really lovely breakfast place

I can’t fault it

We were 3 friends and the house was perfect as 2 bedrooms upstairs and a comfortable sofa bed in spacious sitting room downstairs. Fantastic location only a few minutes on foot from the station, beach, great shops, restaurants, cinema. It's in a quiet courtyard shared with 3 other Mews houses where you can park. There is no private outside space to sit but there is a bench, and some chairs, outside the sitting room in the shared courtyard/parking area.

Lovely mews house in a prime location. Only a couple of minutes walk from the seafront. Clean and comfortable, with clear friendly instructions upon arrival. We had a small issue whilst there with the hot water but it was sorted immediately by Doug. Knowing the owner will be as helpful and pleasant and answered any questions was very reassuring.

No negatives at all.

We had an amazing stay it was so easy to get to, landlord was in contact on the arrival with the clear instructions and a great advice about busy weekend due to the festival in Hastings. Kindly let us know we can stay beyond our check out time, which made it so easy for us to plan our last day. Property it's well located, very homely, highly recommend and will definitely stay again.

Perfect house for a small family to stay for a long weekend, the host was great, parking useful and a great location with lots of shops and the beach right on your doorstep. Very quiet too despite being very central.
