Lena Kassiopi Apartments

Location was great and host was helpful. Keys left in door on our arrival so check in was easy.

Most disappointing accommodation of our one month trip to Saranda and Corfu. We booked a two night stay based on the photos of the apartment on booking.com and when we arrived not ONE of those photos were of the actual apartment we were given. Our apartment was Apartment 1 and it was extremely basic, unattractive and dated. In all honesty, I’d never have booked here if I’d known we’d be in that apartment. Don’t like giving a bad review but it is unfair to present something in a favourable and dishonest way. As I now look at other reviews I see others have had the same experience. Disappointing.

The location was perfect. Staff were lovely and allowed us to drop our bags in early. Quite a spacious 2 bedroom, bathroom, living room and separate kitchen. Would suit a family of 4. Outdoor terrace with a small table was grand, no view. 2 min walk to Kassiopi main square, with everything you need. 5 mins to the port and 10 minutes to the 2 main beaches. Great spot

Beds were old, hard and uncomfortable and need replacing. Problems with airlock in pipes making loud vibration sounds constantly, figure out to turn the water supply to the loo off to stop it.

The Apartment is perfect for up to 4 people, with two bedrooms and a kitchen with a table and four chairs. The host speaks perfect German. Kassiopi is a very nice town with many restaurants and three small beaches, all withinn some 100 meters. Private parking directly at the house (there are three bungalows attached to each other)

Excellent location close to restaurant and harbour, although a little difficult to initially find. Well set up for an extended stay. Had difficulty initially with Wifi access but it came right the second day. Appreciated host calling in to check I was ok.

Parking difficult mid afternoon and ended up parking well along main road. Beware - fold in your wing mirrors - I ended up with a wing mirror smashed and a hefty charge from car rental company.

We enjoyed a really reasonably priced stay at the Lena Apartments in a two bed apartment. While the apartment is an older building the rooms have been nicely updated with cool decorative touches and practical storage in the bedrooms. The rooms were cleaned daily and there was a wide choice of bed linen to suit everyone's mood / needs. The apartment is a short walk from the main drag in Kassopi and there is a fruit and veg shop at the end of the road where the apartment is located, with a small supermarket and chemist with minutes. It's a 5-10 minute walk to the harbour and there's a beach the next block across. There's only one parking space at the apartment, available on a first come, first served basis. The owner can arrange parking on a neighbour's property, but it's not hard to find a parking spot on the main road a couple of minutes walk from the apartment. The double bed in the master bedroom is very comfortable and the apartment has an overall contemporary look and feel that we really liked in the living room and bedrooms.

The apartment has 'garden views' or more accurately of what we would call an allotment in the UK. There's a small undercover seating area outside and ours overlooked a workshop of some description. This didn't really have an effect on our stay, but it's worth noting if you're expecting nice views. The apartment does have air conditioning but only in the main living room. The apartment is classic Greek style with thick walls and high ceilings and it wasn't too hot for us during our stay, but I would bear in mind that the bedrooms aren't air conditioned if booking in high summer. As an older building the plumbing is typically Greek too and while there's a modern mixer shower, there's not a lot of pressure and the water did not always run clear (it rained a lot during our stay). The living room furniture is very stylish, but not ideal for lounging in. We preferred to lie on the bed, which is super comfortable in comparison. One thing to be aware of (and this is not the fault or a reflection of the owner) is that there's an ex pat bar near the apartment. While they don't play music, it can get noisy. It would drive me mad if I lived nearby, so if you're looking for somewhere quiet to retreat to after dinner or a few drinks in the harbour it's worth knowing. These are minor issues really and based on value for money, decor, attentive owner and good location I would recommend the Lena Apartments.

Large rooms in a quiet location, one block back from beach. Easy walk to town with resturants and cafes, fruit market and mini market a few metres away .

Toilet and hand basin leaked from their bases on to toilet floor. Cracked shower head, No bathroom drain cover, just a gapping hole with no plug. One air con remote to operate two separate bedrooms. (Had to go looking for it in the dark of night) Beds were intolerably hard. Easy fixes that can be addressed
