VILLA MARIA (2)

We stayed 4 nights at the end of December. The place is very good for it's price. There is parking spot in front of the house, the room is a decent size and there is everything nessesary. Hot water was available which is very important in winter. The bed was comforrtable, the kitchen was good too. The location is very convenient if you have a car.

The toilet seat had no plastic cover so it was cold when sitting. There was no sourse of heating in the room which was perfect for me as i don't use heating at home but it was really freezing for my mother. The tempetature inside was colder than outside. Just keep that in mind if you visit in winter. We were outside during all the days and only came back to sleep so the cold didn't bother us.

Accommodation was amazing, everything was clean, kitchen fully equipped, lovely terrace and a comfy bed. The owners were very welcoming and we had a wonderful stay.

But the bathroom... It is below any rating point. 👎Too small. You need to step into the shower to open/close the door. 👎shower drain not working properly 👎Cold water that nobody fixed even though we asked. 👎Water constantly gathering on the floor (even though we dried it, water would appear again) - so it was impossible to use the toilet.

There were communication problems as you get with Google translate

good location, close to a really nice bar and a supermarket. around 20 to 30min walk to the liapades beach and/or ravinia beach. bus stop to other villages/cities also close by (10min). beds are fine, nothing extraordinary nor terrible friendly and helpful host

the kitchen is mediocre, no basics for cooking, salt, pepper, oil. no cutting plate, no sharp knife. everything you would expect from a basic kitchen was missing. our neighbours did not even had a kitchen (same room) so we cooked together because they had cuttlery and glasses. the bathroom smells disgusting, tho it is clean the sewege smell is aweful. lock the door, put a towel in front so you can sleep. mosquitos can be a problem, its the hosts fault but i wonder why he does not put up some mosquito nets over the beds...
