Casa Ivana

The apartment is located in the centre of Menaggio which allowed us easy access to the town and a chance to rest our legs when we needed to. Ivana communicated with us throughout the stay and was always helpful when we needed something. The apartment itself is clean, secure and well equipped. We found the beds comfortable. Parking is in a nearby underground garage.

As others have mentioned the church bell is very loud and close to the apartment. It sounds from 7am everyday and acted as an alarm to wake us up. We were aware of this when we booked the apartment but did find the noise a little intrusive. If you don't mind being up and about early it's fine - maybe if you are a heavy sleeper you might also be undisturbed. We found the car park gate closed when we wanted to leave in the morning and temporarily could not access our vehicle. I later figured out that the key fob had a gate release on it but it has to be used without anything blocking the car park motion sensors to allow it to function properly. This would have been useful to know in advance, particularly when one of the residents who uses the car park came and let me in only for the gate to subsequently close while I was attending to the car, locking me in the car park in the process.

Feels a little like you're staying over in someone else's home with all the things around. Unfortunately no view of the lake.

The apartment is lovely, and the location is excellent for both a stay in Menaggio and exploring other areas around the lake. Ivana is super friendly and helpful. Exceeded our expectations - we would definitely return.

Perfect location for seeing the main attractions in Lake Como! Short walking distance from the ferry and only 15min ferry ride to Varenna where the train from Milan stops! The appartment itself is exactly as described and looks like in the pictures. There was only two of us staying so very spacious for us as there is two separate floors :) Host was very friendly!

I feel like the appartment is very good value for its price, so I didn’t really find anything that I wasn’t happy with :)
