We rented the bottom apartment. Super well equipped, with a fully fledged kitchen, 2 spacious bedrooms each with their own bathroom, and a spacious living room with a comfortable sofa. The sofa was even used as a bed multiple times, as we had a snoring person in the group, and it held up nicely. The host was very welcoming and even went out of his way to help us when a person left their phone behind on the island. Even though it ended up not being left at the apartment, the host went above and beyond to try helping us out.

There is no parking by the door. However, the parking that there is, is not far at all and was quite empty.

It was a really comfortable stay. The apartment is warm since it's located on the Portuguese first floor (second, if you count from one) and has wooden floor. So, it was comfortable to be barefoot there. Location is perfect - in the very center of Madelena, ferry port is available by foot (3 min) and at the same time has a lot of places to park the car. Apartment also has a perfect view of the Faial island. The host is perfect, he met us on check in, showed everything in apartment and helped us a lot to book the taxi to the airport on the checkout, additional thank for this!

No dishwasher - not a big deal, just a fact. Active construction in front - it was also not a problem for us, but it could be in future when that construction become higher and the perfect view will be vanished by it.

An amazing place to stay! Perfect big apartment with lots of light, everything that you need for living - kitchen, comfortable beds, garden, iron, hair dryer, facilities to cook food...

Huge apartment with excellent air conditioning and well stocked with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Well placed for everything in town and also the natural pools.

Needs better signage at the entrance gate so you know where you're going.

This apartment is located at a very convenient location with walking distance to ferry, tourism offices, car rental, restaurants, and grocery stores. It has ocean views which was not indicated in the listing. It is spacious and with modern decoration. The owner is very thoughtful, and we found everything we needed and felt at home. Importantly to mention that there are office desks setup at both bedrooms which is really convenient for people who need work. The host and the staff on site are super responsible with any questions. They helped us to find pharmacy, book tours and taxis. Highly recommend this property.

Fabulous apartment in the heart of Madalena which was a good base for exploring the island. Check in was easy and the host communicated well over whatsapp to help us despite a significant delay to our inbound flight. The apartment is spacious and had more room than the two of us needed. Comes with a fully equipped kitchen (but no dishwasher). Very easy to park nearby for free and there are restaurants within an easy walk. We particularly liked O Cinco which was 5 mins from the doorstep.
