XA Apartments RRAL-579

We ended up doing the Pico mountain hike at the day of our departure. The person we dealt with (father of the owner) let us take a shower and stick around in another apartment (which we were lucky wasn't rented out) after checkout at no extra cost. In general, he was super nice and attentive and the communication with him was great even though he spoke only the most rudimentary English.

The apartment had a washing machine rather than dishwasher, it can be an advantage to some, but it was a (small) disadvantage to us. Somehow, there were A LOT of little flies and mosquitoes around the apartment, which made it difficult to keep the windows open. We haven't come across so many anywhere else on the islands.

We loved our apartment: very big one with a kitchen, big living room, 2 suits each equipped with a big bathroom, terrace. Apartment is equipped with everything you need. Right downtown of Magdalena, very close to the port with fairies to Faial. A supermarket and mega market are in a walk distance. The host is very friendly, ready to help and really wants you to enjoy your stay

If not take into account specific smell in the town (hosts can't influence it anyhow) and some very common in Portugal smell inside due to very high humidity, the stay would be perfect. We were missing a dishwasher, bit not sure how often tourists are cooking like we do.

First-floor apartment (2 bedrooms) was very clean and spacious, with lots of natural light (and blackout curtains). All the little basics you might need were provided. Great location. Regret we couldn't stay for longer!

The host was amazing. Unfortunately due to technical issues w the sata airlines, we arrived almost 3 days late to Pico. (Which left us with less than 48 hrs on the island) We were greeted with food when we finally arrived, late at night as everything was closed. He made our short visit worth the trouble of getting there. Thank you for everything!!!!

Sata airlines. Plz buy a backup plane.

Hosts were extremely friendly and offered services. Essentials to get us by were in the apartment. The location was perfect. We were right downtown in Madalena, 5 minute walking distance to port and close to many restaurants. O Cinco was one of our favourites.

Sofia and her dad are supersweet and helpful. Saved us after late arrival from starving with bringing some food! Clean and comfortable place.

One of the bathrooms had really bad smell of sewage (maybe applying a siphon at the sink would help?).
