"good"

7.0

Well presented and made little space, with nice design ideas and care.

better air exaction, quite busy in the day as someone always seemed outside as so close to the rd, a small space for two, but kind of did us well for a short stay.

I can’t fault the Nook it was perfect for my needs and had everything you needed in place and it was such a pleasurable place to stay and relax.

There’s nothing I can fault it with.

"Lovely centre to everything and very clean would recommend to any couple or single person"

9.0

The was located in the centre of what we needed easy to find. Parking was ok depending on the time of day. The property was lovely and clean very nicely decorated. Just right space for the 2 of us.. The only thing we found was because the Weather was gorgeous & hot the accommodation was very hot inside, there was a fan but maybe another one would benefit . Thank you Robin for a great staycation.

We loved the property as we have said was just very very warm.

"Relaxing"

9.0

A cosy hideaway close to town, the railway station and the sea - well appointed kitchen for self catering

Only a minor thing - as you asked the only thing I can think of is maybe could do with instructions for the hob and an extra saucepan- didn’t take us long to work it out but we were unfamiliar with the controls - nothing really.

"4 night stay, June 2024"

8.0

Access to the studio was easy with the use of code. Well designed apartment. Comfy bed, and I like the idea of being able to rotate the tv between the lounge area and the bedroom. Effective lighting in all areas. Quiet location. Close to transport routes for discovering this area of Cornwall. Thank you for the biscuits and the pint of milk. So nice to be able to make a cup of tea on arrival.

I missed having a sofa or comfy chair, though photos did show that there was only a bench seat, so I was forewarned. As a solo traveller, I was able to use the bench as a chaise longue. Suggested improvement would be to remove a shelf in the tall cupboard to create a wardrobe / coat storage. Lack of hooks in the bathroom.

"The Nook was such an utter disappointment we left after one night and lost our prepaid lodging fees."

2.0

We were so disappointed in the Nook that we left after one night, although we had prepaid for four nights. Perhaps this studio would work for a single traveler with a backpack. We (two of us) expected a small studio as described, but we didn’t expect a nearly complete lack of closet space, no clothes hangers, not even a coat hook to hang up a jacket. There were storage cupboards over the bed that required one to climb onto the bed to access them. There was another vertical cupboard that had stuff in it: vacuum cleaners, a vacuum cleaner box, someone’s old yoga mat, and a large black hassock-like thing that took up more than half of one of the shelves. There were no luggage racks, so one of our two suitcases went on the floor while the other took up the sofa. The built-in sofa didn’t work for seating anyway; it’s too high off the floor, too narrow and its cushion is too hard to be comfortable. I should have seen from the listing that the bed filled a niche in the wall so that if two are occupying it, one person has to climb over the other to get out. We did not find the mattress comfortable, and when I mentioned this to the host, he said it was “expensive.” The bathroom sink is laughably small, and it doesn’t need to be so tiny. The listing characterizes this apartment as a “luxury” studio. This is objectively untrue. It’s a bare-bones rental. We found it overpriced, uncomfortable, and utterly lacking in typical traveler amenities such as a closet with hangers or hooks to hang towels or jackets.

Be aware that this unit is not close to the train or bus station; it’s in a residential area uphill from the town’s main street. Oddly, before arrival we were given an incorrect address by the owner, and spent several minutes unsuccessfully inputting a code into a door lock on St. D_____ St. (the address we were given) before I looked around the corner on St. M_____ Street and found the blue-painted storefront façade of the actual apartment. When we cancelled the remainder of our stay, detailing the various shortcomings we found in the unit, the owner refused any refund, keeping the fees for the remaining three nights. That is his right. It was at that point “nonrefundable.” So be aware that if you arrive at the Nook and find it unacceptable, you are out of luck.

"Comfortable affordable stay in Penzance with kitchen."

7.0

Location close to train/bus stations and very central in Penzance. bed comfortable, nice shower, plenty of hot water. Owner is very responsive.

Up a hill, insufficient amenities for an apt rental, Noise from street and neighbor above but very tolerable.
