Old Fisherman's Cottage

Absolutely loved everything - the cottage provided a warm, comfortable haven whilst in Rothesay. We loved the cottage and serendipitously discovered whilst there that my great uncle lived at 22 and my great grandfather lived at 13 bishop st mid 1840’s. The cottage gave me a real sense of what their lives might have been like before immigrating to Australia 💕

Leaving! Wish we could have stayed longer

This wasn't just a holiday let. it's a home that someone shares with you. It's not just the small touches like the decor or facilities, but it's things like fresh milk and teacakes that welcome you.

Julie was so lovely! The location was fantastic, loved the veranda spent a lot of time there just chilling and reading, the cottage was very cosy and warm too which came handy when we had a storm on Wednesday! Great shower too.

The beds were really narrow but thankfully quite comfortable

Close to centre, lovely property with exceptional facilities and storage. Very comfortable. Owners responsive to some minor issues with WiFi and tv. Unexpected arrival of Waverley and sea trip made the difference.

Road noise! Some minor issues but internet isn’t great on Bute.

A wonderful cottage right in the centre of Rothesay with all the facilities a couple could need. We travelled by bike and there was a space to keep them safe. Everything was beautifully clean and well organised, and we had a warm welcome and every possible help from the hosts. We will be back.
