The location was great. The room was comfortable and clean

WARNING ..... Careful with any host who wants a security deposit by etransfer - you will pay bank fees / risk fraud / and in this case NOT GET THE DEPOSIT REFUNDED- so that added over 100 euro to the one night of accomodation and hours of fighting with the host who sent the refund to the WRONG BANK ACCOUNT. And if you think BOOKING.COM customer service will help out in disputes like this - you are wrong - no help at all - and I would not use BOOKING.COM again for that reason. Never send deposits by etransfer - I would have just cancelled when I saw this policy - but ofcourse they dont offer free cancellations

There isn’t anything to dislike

The appartment itself is very nice. It is spacious, clean, well equiped and located in Setubal. It is close to the sea, the city center, main touristic areas and restaurants. Lots of parking areas around the appartment (find a parking spot can sometimes be very hard in Setubal).

I really disliked the 100€ deposit process. Yes, it was faithful to the description and it has been refunded a short time after the stay (I left on Friday, received the refund confirmation on the same day, received it on Wednesday). But I found the whole process as suspicious as painful. It is the first time I have seen this kind of process on Booking and I must admit that I was very not confident about sending money to an unknown IBAN after a couple of emails. The quite insisting tone in the emails made my mistrust get bigger and I first wanted to cancel my reservation, but it was non refundable. Adding foreign IBANs being absurdly painful with my bank, it made the booking experience quite painful for just 1 night. But in the end, communication with Pablo got better and the refund process was really quick, and I am glad that I did not cancel my reservation.
