"Rude customer service, do not recommend"

Good location

Last minute booking meant we missed the disclaimer about the deposit which must be paid outside of booking.com. Having never been asked for payment outside of booking.com, this felt shady so we tried to contact the host. A man answered claiming it's the wrong number ad that he isn't a hotel, so we reached out directly by chat. They told us we need to send them the money before they let us check in but they did not have a number. We asked if we could speak to them or meet them at the hotel to make sure it wasn't a scam - to which they replied extremely rudely, sarcastically, there was a complete lack of empathy. Me and my partner waited for 2+ hours in the location wondering whether we should just book another place to stay or send funds outside of booking.com to a very rude person. We ended up paying the deposit and thankfully it was okay, but the customer service was astonishing and we will certainly not be returning.

"Bad"

This host is a fraud. I went to the location waited 45 minutes, Then the host asked for 100€, i Had the money in cash with me and he never showed up. Then the HOST Ended up canceling the reservation and said that i didn´t show up. I had to pay for the cancelation that i did not made. It was raining and I got soaked. Had to go to another hotel and I had to pay extra 150€ extra to sleep. DONT TRUST Luisa's Loft, They dont pick up the phone and they want you to pay 100€ extra for you to get in.

"Worst experience ever. Terrible communication."

Nothing makes up for the inconvenience of this experience.

1. We paid for our stay in advance and realized that it was also necessary to pay a deposit. We asked to evaluate the apartment before paying the deposit but the owner refused because no one would welcome us. We felt very uncomfortable about paying a deposit without being able to protect ourselves from any problem that might already exist on site. We preferred to cancel, but as it was paid we decided to go ahead with the security deposit. We made the transfer of +100€ the day before the stay and sent proof. To our surprise, the owner did not accept the deposit proof and demanded an immediate second transfer of +100€ to enter the account. Check-in time passed and we still didn't have the codes. We decided to make the immediate transfer of a second caution +100€. He gave the codes after that. 2. When we arrived at the accommodation, the entry code was visible and the door was open. There is no guarantee that someone could have entered before or after our stay. No one validates the property conditions with us. 3. Although it is clear that the deposit is returned within 7 days, we had to wait 11 days for the 2 deposits to be returned to us. 4. We have already asked for the invoice several times and still have no response. 5. We made several contacts to the owner's cell phone but the number was not assigned (just try before booking). We asked Booking for help but even they were unable to contact the owner. We asked for valid contact several times and there was never a response.

"Setubal is too nice to become very angry about being robbed by the apartment host..."

Avoid the place. We got robbed!!! Before arrival the host asked via the Booking.com platform a 100 Euro deposit, in addition to the room price, that would be payed back if all is fine after we left the apartment. After about one week I did try to check with the host about the deposit and had no reaction. Calling makes no sense as the phone number on the Booking site is invalid. Talking to Booking .com service desk I was told that the host reported that we've stolen four towels !!!!!???? We have not been informed directly by the host about this! Setubal is too nice to become very angry, however this is theft.

The location is great and the use of the lockbox meant we didn't need to coordinate with the host to check-in. The apartment was also pretty clean.

The 100 euro deposit and how long it took to get confirmation from the host that the deposit was being returned. Even after a message, the host only confirmed the transfer back of the deposit 1 week after the stay. As feedback, I would say that if you explicitly state that you need the deposit within 48 hours of the stay then you should also return it within 48 hours from the end of the stay. When it comes to people's money full transparency is a must.
