GBThe apartment block had a nice view over the sea and we had a balcony with a swing chair and table and chairs, but there were too many mosquitoes to sit outside! I got 10 bites my first evening, but mozzie spray and a fly swat was provided. A bottle of sparking wine was provided on arrival, which was a nice touch. The bed was very comfy and I slept extremely well. We were lucky in having quiet apartment neighbours on all sides. I appreciated having a washing machine and washing machine tabs, and a washing up sponge was provided the next morning after I asked for it as I don't use dishwashers. The host also provided a list of nearby shops upon request and was generally very responsive and helpful.
The main thing I didn't like is that I had no idea when booking that the apartment was actually within a holiday resort and that it was one apartment among many tens of concrete apartment blocks; this information was not stated in the booking information. I would never have chosen to stay at a resort. I had been under the impression that there were a couple of buildings at this edge of this village and I was in one of them. Instead the concrete apartment blocks line a wall alongside a hotel, which overlooks the sea and a pebbly 'beach' near some mudflat salt-pans. Strunjan is just a resort, with no settlement or shops. We therefore had to drive to another town to find food for the self-catering apartment. The cost - over 200 euros a night - was too high for what was provided. The host was kind and provided all I asked for, but I would have liked more honesty in the booking information.
CZcontactless accommodation, when you receive perfectly processed information about arrival, accommodation itself and departure in advance. Everything fits and works. The accommodation is clean, comfortable and fully corresponds to the promo photos. Fantastic and peaceful location. The beach is right in the area, another one is within walking distance. The location is also suitable for beautiful walks and bike rides.
Little things. In this category, I would expect toilet paper for the entire stay. If you use the dishwasher, you have to run it half-empty, otherwise you won't have enough dishes for the next meal. Anyway, it doesn't change anything about the great impression of the whole stay.
