Casa Mary Family Apartment

The location was peaceful and wonderful. We had a car which helped a lot, as it is a little way from Sorrento, however we did catch the local bus, which was very straightforward. The apartment is attached to Maria's house but it felt like we had a lot of privacy. Maria welcomed us and gave us lots of information about the area, and left some basic supplies for us which was great. The facilities were great, we had use of the washing machine which was perfect since we had travelled only with small rucksacks. Bathroom was great and the main bed was very comfortable - and our kids slept well on the sofa bed and pull out bed too.

Not much really, mosquitoes - which can't really be avoided! There is a sliding mosquito net door which is handy if you want to have the door open but not let the mosquitoes in.

Private, quiet, lovely garden terrace to relax in at night. Hosts were fantastic.

Property was great, little further out from Sorrento than we anticipated but worked round this.

The owners are very welcoming and ready to give advice. They left some food in the kitchen that we used for lovely breakfasts and snacks. If you are looking for a retreat in the middle of the nature, I certainly recommend Casa Mary!

It wasn't clear to me how to reach Sorrento from the place -- I had checked on Google and it seemed quite straightforward but it is not if you want to walk. Perhaps the owners should specify in the description of the place that the walk to Sorrento is a bit tricky.

The hosts were so friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay in Sorrento. The kitchen came prepped ready for cooking pasta and there were homegrown fresh lemons and oranges for us to try. We enjoyed sitting outside on the terrace and dining al fresco. Although there are taxis in Sorrento town it can be quite pricey to get back to the apartment after dining out or exploring the town. There is a bus service that stops around 7pm so if you're on a budget I recommend using that.

The hosts at Casa Mary are so lovely and welcoming. We felt at home and the place had everything that we needed for our stay. The kitchen is well-equipped which was great because we did want to cook at home some of the nights we were there. Annachiara looked after us so well and was always very happy to answer our questions. Annachiara’s mum even helped us get to the train station on the last day when we were stuck for transport which was extremely kind. We even did a boat trip to Capri through the company that Annachiara works for which was lots of fun and a great day. The view when walking down from Priora is pretty spectacular. We really enjoyed our stay!
