Shore Thing - Just a stones throw from the beach

Very quaint, in a lovely area, really nice little stay for a very well needed get away just me and my other half!

If you want to relax in comfort, then choose this place. Everything was at the best level.

Good location. Well kept property.

On noisey road. Beds not very comfortable .

It was clean and welcoming

There wasn’t a kitchen sink you had to wash the pots on the bathroom in the sink where you had to wash and clean your teeth in & to gain entry to the property you had to enter via a alleyway in the dark no lighting on coming home of an evening as there wasn’t a front door to enter.

Good communication with host, comfortable bed, and sofas. Warm and cosy and very clean. Well laid out with everything you need. Near to shops and restaurants.

Not the easiest to find , cannot park outside to drop off luggage, could do with a curtain by the outside door as slight draught in bedroom, shower could be challenging if over 5ft 10". My head was against the ceiling. But still worth staying as it's such a nice apartment.

Cozy, sweet and the host has put in a lot of effort to make your feel welcome. There was a little gift for us. And she has thought through what the guests would need. There was milk in the fridge and some crisps! Totally out of my expectations. The host is very kind and responsive to messages on Booking.com, which makes me feel very comfortable to book with this property again. It is a one bedroom apartment, but in reality its more like a 2 bedroom. There is a living room, with doors you can shut. Then there is a so called second loving room with dining table, fridge, microwave and a very comfortable sofa bed. It could have done with an induction plate with cooking pans, but as we only stay with a few days. So happy not to do any cooking. Although it is on the ground floor by the main road, it is very quiet in the bedroom and the “second bedroom” where the sofa bed is (as you can shut the door to the living room which faces the road). Overall it is a comfortable stay. The location is very good if you like the beach like myself. It’s literally at your door steps. I ran twice, once to Hythe and the other time to Folkestone harbour. I would highly recommend anyone to book if you’d like to stay at Sandgate.

Well the shower is little difficult to adjust. Its either too hot or too cold. This is something I’d like to see upgrade when I stay next time. Otherwise, its a very comfortable stay and very good value for money. The host Georgina is just brilliant.
