A truly beautiful apartment, tastefully decorated in a quiet laneway (unusual for Sicily, and a real bonus!) a few steps from the gorgeous sea views in Ortigia. It is generously equipped with everything you could need for a relaxing holiday. The king size bed is extremely comfortable, the bathroom bright and modern with a great shower and washing machine. When we had a medical issue which required a visit to the hospital Emergency department by ambulance on our penultimate day, Judy and Tony couldn't have been more helpful and supportive. They really went well beyond the call of duty....wonderful, heartwarming Sicilan hospitality which we will never forget. We would have no hesitation in recommending their apartment to our family and friends and we very much hope to return.

Judy and Tony were wonderful hosts. Not only did they both meet me and take me back to the station, but I was welcomed with arancini ( a local specialty) and a bowl of fresh local fruit!.. I felt most welcome and it made my transition so easy and stress-free, knowing I would be met at the station. Also, Tony took me on a mini-tour of the island to acquaint me with all the local favorites. The accommodations were delightful, spotlessly clean and efficiently stocked with all supplies to make my stay comfortable as well as prepared for fixing meals at home. The courtyard was also a nice feature for sitting or eating outdoors. The location was on the "sunrise" side of the island, near the "rocks" and beach for swimming or just relaxing by the sea, near shops, restaurants, bus stop (though not necessary as everything is walkable) and sights, including the local puppet museum and theatre...and the beautiful historic theatre where I attended an evening of opera and and another of chamber music. Also my inquiries were responded to very promptly. A relaxing and delightful stay at Ammira and the lovely town of Ortigia! A big "grazie" to Judy and Tony!

Excellent communication with owner about location, getting into property and transport links. Location - on the edge of old town close to sea. Great amenities and all self-contained...open plan bedroom/kitchen/lounge area with separate shower room. Every item you may need to be self-sufficient - owner has thought of everything. Great restaurants and cafes only a walk away and outdoor market a 10 minute stroll.

Not the owner's fault but there were workmen up above who were drilling/knocking daily but I was up quite early and out most of the day.

Everything was great.

Location was excellent & the host gave us great instructions on where to park ($20 per night) & her favorite fish restaurant (called The Fish Bar) which was so good we ate there twice & it was very close to the condo. The host couldn’t have been nicer! Whenever we asked a question of the host on WhatsApp, the response was quick
