Panoramic Taormina Bay View

We had a lovely stay! The terrace was fabulous, with stunning views and plenty of comfortable seating to enjoy the scenery. Inside, the space was very generous and well laid out. The location was convenient and we really appreciated the air conditioning in the bedrooms—plus the beds were very comfortable. Everything smelled fresh and clean when we arrived. We booked last minute after needing to change our plans and the host was incredibly responsive and accommodating. On-street parking was also available.

This property has great potential, but a few basic improvements would make a big difference. The kitchen was quite under-equipped—there was no kettle, toaster, iron, or ironing board. We also missed having toilet roll holders and places to hang wet towels, both indoors and out. Our bedroom didn’t have bedside lights, sockets, or even hand soap, which was inconvenient. The bathrooms, especially the shower cubicles, could have been cleaner and some of the bedroom doors didn’t close properly. These are all relatively easy fixes that would really enhance the overall experience. Also, be aware that the surrounding streets are very narrow and can be challenging to navigate with a larger vehicle.

The view is fantastic.

The place was very disappointing, the place was full of mosquitoes, and the main bathroom smelt like sewage, the shower in that bathroom the tap was broken so it was hard to get water out of it which meant that 6 adults had to use the second shower. In the second bathroom, the flushing button on the toilet was broken. We did not enjoy the experience at all. The whole place was dirty. When I rang the contact person to let him know about the shower, he was rude and didn't have any care attitude. Lastly, the place is advertised as Taormina, but it's really steps away from Giardini Naxos in a tight little lane.

The view compensates for most things. It is up the hill so you either need to drive the narrow roads which we did, or hike up. The terrace was nice and the facilities were all right - there are 2 bathrooms ( one ensuite) which was great. The neighbors were also nice, although they don’t seem to be too keen on the tourists staying there.

The property needs some work, terrace wasnt clean with dead insects all over the furniture, the floor wasnt swept. The coffee machine wasnt clean so we couldnt use it. I also didnt like that there were 2 single mattresses on a double bed rather than a double mattress.
