Mosaico Taormina Guest House

A spacious 2 bedroom apartment situated very close to all the shops, restaurants and tourist attractions in central Taormina. The beds were comfortable, the shower was large with good water pressure, and there were excellent views from the balcony. This could be an excellent apartment, but ...

... the kitchen facilities were in short supply and very basic e.g. no kettle, no microwave or oven, only 3 cups and 1 teaspoon. There was nowhere to drain dishes after washing them, and no tea towel provided. The apartment floor needed a thorough clean, and the toilet seat was loose.

Perfect location. Best restaurants and bars nearby. We took the advice from other reviews and bought earplugs but we only needed them on Sunday night. The cocktail bar outside stays open late but not loud music (in fact we went there and really nice place!) mainly people chatting and laughing. The apartment was clean and comfortable. Yes lots of steps but it is Italy! 3 mins walk to supermarket and nice views from the balcony.

It lacked a few things that would make it easier to clear up, a draining board and tea towel. Also the cupboards didn't open and shut by touch as they should. The top cupboards didn't stay open and the bottom ones took lots of attempts to close. They just need fixing. Also the wardrobe didn't open and we had to pull by the bottom to access.

Tagterassen var helt fantastisk! Så smuk en udsigt. Placeringen var også rigtig god.

Møblerne var ikke så behagelige, og trapperne op til lejligheden var meget smalle.

Excellent location. Great shower. Great to be able to walk the quiet streets in the morning.

Was a little noisy at night, especially a Saturday, but we expected it might be with its central location. So it was worth the noise to be so close to the town.

Beautiful location in the heart of Taormina. Amazing balcony with gorgeous views of the hills and sea. Place was comfortable and had everything we needed for a great stay.

The stovetop was a bit leaky and filled the apartment with a strong gas smell when used. We only used it once, so not a big deal but could be hard for those to planning to stay longer and use the kitchen regularly.

Es gab kaum Geschirr, nicht einmal genug Gläser für fünf Personen und die Stühle waren sehr unbequeme billige Plastikklappstühle. Zudem war der Klositz lose und ist weggerutscht und eine Decke hatte einen Blutfleck.

The balcony and the view

Pictures cleverly hid weaknesses. Not comfortable at all. Half of the apartment it was impossible to stand up in. No storage for clothes. Had to put things on the floor. Shade over balcony ripped. No where inside to sit except on two stools. It rained so had to come inside. Kitchen area is a joke. No bowls or desert spoons. Detergent was rock solid. No tea towel to die dishes

Location & balcony - perfect. Down side and what was very disappointing about the property was: 10 flight of narrow stairs to get to the room. Dirty dishes, no tea towels to wash dishes, no Doona or blanket for bed just 1 sheet. No bowls for cereal, no kettle or toaster. Beer cans found under the bed with loads of dust.

No bowls for cereal, had to eat cereal from a glass, no kettle or toaster. Beer cans and loads of dust found under the bed. Sloping roof line for half of the room, husband kept hitting his head on the roof beam, bed was positioned right in front of air conditioner so if you were sleeping you would freeze.

Staff were super friendly and it was still quite close to the busy area although would have liked to be a little closer next time!

Seemed like the room wasn’t prepared properly prior to us checking in - the toilet seat was broken and we had hair blocking the shower drain. There was left over toothbrushes and sunscreen etc on the shelf. We had asked to have it cleaned but it never did.
