Het huis zat op een top locatie. Midden in het oude centrum. Je hebt vele eet gelegenheden om de hoek en daarbij veel bezienswaardigheden! Daarnaast uitstekend contact gehad met de host. Er was hierin veel mogelijk. Zeker een aanrader om heen te gaan als je in de stad Valencia wilt verblijven!

We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment has a very unique design in an authentic building, and it was perfectly clean. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. The location is excellent. Erik, the apartment manager, was very polite, provided all the necessary check-in information, and was always available for any questions.

La struttura era situata in pieno centro, in una zona allo stesso tempo tranquilla e viva, collegata a qualsiasi mezzo e a 2 passi da ogni tipologia di necessità. La vera chicca: il terrazzo all’ultimo piano. Il proprietario è stato davvero disponibile sia al momento della prenotazione che mesi dopo al momento del soggiorno. La consiglierei davvero a tutti!

An entire house to ourselves in the middle of Ciutat Vella, I never could have imagined it! This quirky little place was a magical stay for 4 nights. An old horlogerie (watchmaker's shop), signs of its past remain on the walls inside and out. The rooms are distributed over 6 floors: the kitchen, a bedroom with fold away bunkbeds and its own powder room, a living room with sofa bed, full bathroom, master bedroom, then a lovely rooftop terrace as well as the downstairs entryway I liked to call "The Lobby". We had everything we needed for our stay: toiletries, towels, kitchen basics. The wifi was fast and reliable. A TV in every room was a godsend with kids fighting over what to watch and parents wanting some peace and quiet. Carlos met us with the keys and explained how everything worked, where everything was, and even checked with the kitchen of a restaurant downstairs as to what time they were closing since we arrived so late. Communication with Erik, the homeowner was not just clear and helpful, but fun! It is truly hard to overstate how well located this home is, right on a beautiful plaza with tons of dining options. Steps from the Gran Mercat, right next to the Silk Exchange and a few minutes from Plaza dela Reina, we made extremely efficient use of our relatively short time in Valencia.

It was a very hot few days in Valencia and so AC was a non-negotiable. There is an AC unit on each floor, which is very helpful. There were, however, clear instructions to not run them all at the same time at the risk of failure. Not such a problem really, unless you need to turn on the one in the master and forgot to turn off the one in the kitchen. The up and down of it all was quite a work out. I did get the sense that had my stay been any longer,I might have gone a little mad trying to figure out where I left my phone. 3rd floor? 6th? kitchen? On the other hand, the buns have never been better. I would recommend this home enthusiastically unless you have anyone in your group with even the least limited of mobilities. Another thing with the AC was that it made it difficult to take advantage of the roof terrace on cool evenings: the HVAC unit is on the top deck and there's no way to sit away from it and the hot air it blows out. I also think the laundry rack would be more practical stored downstairs closer to the washing machine rather than on the roof as the top stairs are quite narrow and perilous as well as 4 floors away from the laundry. There are copious hangers and hooks around the home though, so it was definitely a solvable problem.
