The view from the room’s balcony was breathtaking. The room itself was also very cozy.

The bathrooms and kitchen were not very clean. I understand it’s a guesthouse, but the owner lives there and has a lot of rules; he even scolds you if the door slams unintentionally. Overall, it feels a bit odd because it makes you feel like an “unwelcome guest.”

Great stay. The apartment is spotless clean, the bed is very comfortable. The air conditioning and price point here make it an easy choice to stay. The host is very friendly and understanding, I had some trouble with the old style locks the first few days and it disturbed his sleep but he was easy going about it. The apartment is walking distance to the old town which is great as I didn't have to get any taxis home. Thank you Artem!

Very comfortable pillows. Excellent location, just a 5-minute walk from Praia dos Pescadores. Free and reliable Wi-Fi. Lovely sea view from the accommodation. Beach towels were provided at no additional cost. It is possible to store luggage after check-out for €5, which is convenient. Early check-in is available upon request for €7 and can be arranged directly with Artem. All communication was done via WhatsApp, which made coordination easy. Artem also asks guests not to slam doors, which helps maintain a quiet atmosphere — definitely a plus.

The mattress was a bit uncomfortable Cleanliness could be improved overall. There was no TV in the room, which would have been a nice addition. The bed linen and mattress underneath had clear visible stains, although it seemed to had been washed and smelled clean. I booked a double room for two people in my name. I checked in alone, and my friend was supposed to join me later. However, I was informed in a rude way that the room was considered a single and visits were only allowed until 11 p.m., which created confusion, there would be an extra cost for the extra person to stay - but this issue was a misunderstanding and was resolved. Tthe apartment has three cameras that looked to be on the entirety of my stay. One camera was pointed in the direction of the bathroom, one at the front door and another in the kitchen. It was hard to feel at ease knowing that your every move could be watched and potentially your conversations listened in on. ******After posting my original review, I was contacted by Artem the host via WhatsApp and informed that he had been fined by his boss because of my feedback. He implied that I should have reported the stained linen during my stay, rather than mentioning it in the review. While I understand the frustration, I believe guests should feel free to leave honest and respectful reviews without being made to feel guilty or pressured afterwards.

My stay at City Dacha Ocean was great. Even though I am not used to shared apartments. The host was very friendly and helpful. The apartment very clean, quiet and well located, close to the shops, beach and all you need.
