La Polena Camere Vernazza - Visconti Apartment

Fabulous location with excellent accommodations.

Location is great. Literally 20 steps from the sea. It’s a cozy apartment and the decoration is very nicely done. Federico is a great host, he welcome us and helped us in any way he could even giving us free focaccias from his place :)

Kitchen utensils are very basic and at night is quite noisy, but we understand it’s a touristic place, just keep it in mind

Lack of shelving in main room/lounge room and bathroom.

This is a very cute apartment in a superb location. 30 metres from the main square and the beach. Although on the busy main thoroughfare of Vernazza, it is very quiet. Was very nice of the hosts to meet us at the train station and walk us to the apartment plus help us carry our bags up a lot of stairs (see negatives).

There are a lot of steep stairs. This is not unusual in a place like Vernazza but be warned. The stairs are many and they are steep.

It had a lot of personal touches and was a large space for the two of us. Very enjoyable to be right in middle of town - has great air conditioning for the heatwave we had.

The apartment was very clean with a daily towel change. It was in a good location in Vernazza.

In the description it says bedroom 1 has a double bed and bedroom 2 has bunk beds but there are no bedrooms! The double bed is in the living/kitchen area and the bunk beds are in what looks like a walk-in closet with no door just a curtain! The steep 41 steps up to the apartment should also be mentioned as it definitely wouldn't suit anyone with mobility issues!! The noise at night and early morning is unbelievable! The Aircon is turned off during the night so the apartment was extremely hot! The checkout desk was around the corner in a fish shop and we were told we could store our luggage there which we did but, when we went to collect it, it was sitting outside the shop on a bench in the street! It was our 4th accommodation on our Italian trip and compared to the others it was disappointing!
