Clopton Courtyard Cambridge

Beautifully appointed cottage with much attention to details such as underfloor heating and tasteful decorations. Stunning garden and outlook over the fields. Really enjoyed the peace and quiet.

Location was amazing, it was very quiet and peaceful! We had a hot tub outside our lodge and it was just perfect. The rooms were fantastic and you can see how the owners try their very best to make your stay “as an exceptional experience”. Thank you and we will definitely be back in the future.

Lack of kitchen equipment for self catering but I believe this has since been rectified, lack of storage for food if staying more than a night

We enjoyed staying in the property, the hot tub was lovely and a lot easier than other wood burning ones I’ve used before! We enjoyed using the communal fire pit as well. The place itself was peaceful and lovely and warm.

We thought that the place could have been a bit cleaner with a few things being fixed/renewed. At first glance everything was lovely, but when we came to strip the beds on our last day we found quite a few stains on duvets and pillows. The fridge door didn’t shut properly. The door to the outside garden was quite difficult to open and close. My mum knocked over the bedside table a few times, saying it only had 3 legs (not sure if that was design or missing a leg I never looked). It was quite hard to get the shower to stop dripping after we had used it. The garden wasn’t fenced in, which I know it’s stated somewhere on the website but I just would have been a lot more relaxed knowing the dog couldn’t run out if we were to open the door. A final note, although quite a strange one. My mum was upset that we were in the countryside with a lovely view from the hot tub but there was little to no wildlife to be seen. Perhaps a bird feeder or an owl box or something to encourage some wildlife, it was very strange to not see anything other than pigeons.

Clopton Courtyard is absolutely is amazing! Peaceful surroundings with beautiful barns, amazing decor and attention to detail! Even some history added to the interior showing photographs of the old barns prior to the refurb! (Lovely touch) We have stayed in many places all over the world and I could not fault this accommodation one bit! We loved it so much we are going back next week!
