Old Lodge Apartment 1 by Vallettastay

Cosy. Traditional old apartment. Quiet.

No shelving or storage to put toiletries or clothes in. Outside communal space was scruffy dusty and dirty !!

Location was quite OK. Quiet and close to the center.

Awfully squeaking bed. It must be replaced with a new one!

Clear communication and instructions for self check in. Central location in Valletta to restaurants and bars. Facilities as seen in photos.

Unfortunately the bed brings down the overall satisfaction of the stay. The comfort is satisfactory but incredibly squeaky and loud! Whenever you would roll over or move at night, you would be woken up by the squeaking mattress. For context, I weigh 40kg and would class myself as a medium-deep sleeper. The quality of sleep each night was incredibly poor! For this reason, it does not pass the family and friend recommendation test.

An excellent location from which almost anywhere in the old town of Valletta could be reached with no more than 15 minutes walk

The view from the communal roof terrace was disappointing in being severely restricted by surrounding buildings on all sides The bed was not not particularly comfortable

Beautiful apartment, perfect location

Great location. Loved the area and the building and historic quirky elements. Kitchen OK and queries dealt with very quickly and helpfully by agents. You can leave bags after check out in sister hotel (tho quite a walk away/up a hill)

Quite dark in fthe fat and upper windows dirty. 4 pillows please. TV placed awkwardly close to bed end. Needs a brush & pan and cooker instructions. Lack of banisters and steep pitch of 3 flights of marble stairs cut down our trips to the roof terrace for drinks/meals.

Gorgeous apartment in the center of Valletta. Located on the first floor of an ancient renovated building, it offers everything you need to stay in the best possible way in the city and is also quite clean.

👎🏽 The only downside is the bed. I wonder why after all the bad reviews regarding ONLY the condition of the bed, it hasn't been changed. l I’m sorry bc after a whole day out n about, returning to the apartment not being able to rest at its best was a bit of a shame, because everything else was perfect.

Exactly like the photos. Clean and tidy place, easy to check in and good instructions on how to get the keys. Good communication via booking.com when power went out. Never actually saw staff. Close to lots of restaurants and Valletta City. Would recommend.

Liked the place but just a few super minor hints; The apartment is at the bottom of a hill if you don't want to walk uphill every morning... :-) but at 6mths pregnant, I did it no worries, so you will be fine. The sound does seem to travel and it sounds like most people and cars are on your balcony, which woke us up quite a few early mornings. Bed is comfy enough but very squeaky when you roll over at night so may wake your significant other if they are a light sleeper. Nothing major to fault.
