Man And Tree House - De Waterkant

I had an excellent stay here for 6 nights. The property is amazing, perfectly located, wonderful ambient and vibe - very cozy and comfortable. I had a spacious studio with a small kitchenette, and everything one needs. the owners were very friendly and helpful and the neighbourhood is also quite pleasant. This place is awesome, excellent value for money, most highly recommended!

The host was great and pointed to free parking which is a God sent in Cape Town. They made accommodation for my daughter.

If there is anything to mention then it will be that the bathroom window needs a bit more privacy protection, cause im sure that with the high rise buildings that with the proper means someone can spy on you.

The apartments are listed on several platforms, and the hosts had clearly lost track of things. When we arrived, there were no apartments left, even though we had received confirmation by phone.

Fabulous location right in the heart of Waterkant, close to Bo Kaap, V&A Waterfront, Seapoint, etc. Loads of bars, cafes and restaurants around. Room was perfect. I wouldn't do actual "self-catering" there - but who needs to, with all the places around? Stephane was most helpful. Furnishings & bric et brac are tasteful and eclectic

We had an extremely disappointing and unacceptable experience with this property. My boyfriend and I arrived at the agreed check-in time and were left standing outside for over 30 minutes. We called repeatedly, rang the doorbell multiple times, and received no response. Eventually, the owner arrived - not to check us in, but to inform us that he had given our booked room away to walk-ins because “Green Point is busy.” Instead of honouring our confirmed reservation, he unilaterally rebooked us at a completely different hotel a few blocks away. We were given no prior notice, no choice, and no apology that reflected the seriousness of the situation. To make matters worse, the alternative room was one I had specifically chosen not to book due to poor reviews. It was extremely small - barely enough space for a bed - and felt nothing like what we had originally selected and paid for. This is not how confirmed bookings should be handled. If you cannot honour reservations, you should not be taking them. We would strongly caution future guests
