LA CASETTA DI AGNESE

Apartment was good. It is on the main street, above eateries, so if you go to bed early the street noise is probably not for you. We are nights owls, so not an issue for us. FYI, there is one flight of steep stairs. Communication with host was good.

Location.

We planned to arrive at 4pm but got there at 7 because of traffic, car rental issues etc and the host was angry. He works at a restaurant nearby and had to leave work to let us in. He needs a better system. “Breakfast” was 1 egg per person, one fruit from a bowl on the counter and some dry bread packets. There is a washer but no dryer.

Clean. Central. Washing machine.

Advertised as breakfast included which was why we chose it. Lady who opened for us couldn't speak a word of english (have no idea who the host is) and when asked about breakfast, pointed to a basket with something between melba toast and very old toast, jams and a few pieces of fruit. In the fridge were 4 eggs. 2 people for 3 days. We didn't expect an English breakfast, but we did expect a continental breakfast, which this was not. No toaster/microwave, only cooking elements tiny 2 plate stove. No mugs, just espresso cups. Put in a toaster, some bread, few slices charcuterie and cheese, maybe a yoghurt and you have a breakfast as promised. And a notice in the outside door, would help to stop people sitting on the step smoking, resulting in smoke wafting up into the apartment. In general, very disappointing.

Good location on the main street. Good communication and Franco was at the train to meet us. The apartment was compact, but clean and comfortable. A small clothes washer and outdoor clothes line was appreciated. Basic breakfast items were included in the kitchenette. Walkable to everything.

Note the bedroom is separated from the living area by only a curtain. The steps to enter the unit are very steep. If you are limited in mobility or have lots of luggage this would be tough. The train is pretty loud when it passes through town. Fortunately the trains are limited late at night.

Location was in the centre of town, but best of all, above the foot traffic so it was easy to retreat to the peace of the space

Absolutely nothing to consider here!

Great location! Our lovely host met us at the train station and showed us to our room ( very close). Small washing machine was great to catch up on some washing. Place had everything we needed and was a perfect base for our few nights there. I would recommend!

Host very friendly and helpful, easy location to find and use. It's on the main road right when you get off from the train station so very convenient.

Might be noisy in high season, not sure, we were there in November and it's on the main street from the train station so everyone walks by on the way to the harbor. Not noisy for us.
