Falling apart and needs tender care

The view was beautiful ; enjoyed the working fans

The property needs maintenance before the tenant arrives . We were unable to enjoy the pool area as for 6 of the 7 days the seeming was broken . Our Jbl speaker was taken; as my son left it outside by the pool on news years eve ( can only think it was someone who came through gate by the pool ) .

Location was excellent. Breakfast was not included. Apartment was clean and all the applicable amenities were available.

Communication in respect of last Thursday - 19 September - where the Housekeeper did not arrive to clean the apartment. We arrived back from Franschoek fairly late on Thursday evening to find that nothing had been done. No beds had been made up, dirty cups and other utensils were still in the sink and it was most disappointing to host family from America under such conditions.

The house keeper doesn’t clean,the place really need some touch and love,as someone that is owning a lodge I found it so very sad to just live a shower so dirty and not clean,change tiles they are cheaper,the room downstairs we even named it THE FORGOTTEN ROOM,please that place is good if you need people that can renovate cheap for you let me know,hire another cleaner that one 🤣🤣🤣it’s a waste of your money unless if is a family business…show some love on the place is bringing you guys good money,especially shower downstairs No maan,The cleaner all she do best is to take the bin out not,she doesn’t mop the floor she started to hoover our last night and she came with a friend,please talk to her.

The location, the view from the unit and the swimming pool are just about the only things worth commending.

Arrival arrangements were confused and very poor with conflicting information from the agents team, documentation and website. The lack of WiFi and satelite television, together with broken fixtures were all blamed on a sale of the unit that did not go through. The water damage all over the unit was blamed on storm damage from weeks ago. The 3rd bedroom is nothing other than a converted dining or study area - only has curtains for privacy. The BBQ is not fit to be used for cooking anything and coated in oil and soot. The accommodation is disjointed with a master bedroom, a makeshift bedroom in the main apartment and then a separate flatlet from the main apartment with the other bedroom - the door would not close and lock in the flatlet. There was construction happening in the property below. Bottom line is that this unit should not be available for rental in its' current state of repair - absolutely shocking.
