I barely liked anything about my stay due to how Jodie treated me. She has no sense of humanity whatsoever, and she is racist.

The overall treatment of Jodie is absolutely awful. Jodie's attention to detail is very low. She is not hospitable and doesn't have that sense of humanity to her. She does not care at all about her guests and expects them to figure things out themselves in her house. She forgets that guests can't do that, and it is etiquette for her to show guests and explain things to them upon arrival so that they are comfortable in her property. I also noticed that she is not responsive when a guest asks her questions about getting around the area. She doesn't explain and alert guests that there are 3 dogs that live inside the house and the guests should be weary of them - this comes from the surprise I got Friday night when I came back and found a dog by the door of which I didn't know about and wasn't informed that there were any when I dropped off my bags Friday morning. Yes, they (including all 3 of them) were not vicious dogs, so I was able to enter the house unharmed, but the fact that she didn't tell me was a problem because what if those dogs were vicious dogs (e.g. pitbull) and the one that met me at the door Friday night bit me? Another issue was the significant bathroom leakage that I couldn't figure out where it came from until Saturday night when I realized that it came from the ceiling where the geyser is housed. When I told her upon check out, she started becoming defensive and wasn't sensitive at all to the seriousness of it and made it seem like I was the one who tampered with it. I told her that other guests won't like that as well as her negligence overall. In that property, one barely has any privacy and comfortability because of how the setup is and where she sleeps. I don't understand why she runs the place when she is past retirement age. That accommodation should be run by someone else who will note all of these things.

There was only tea, coffee and rusks available for breakfast.

I assumed that private bathroom meant en-suite. I had to walk out to the landing to access the beautiful bathroom. I found this inconvenient.

Definitively a tv or radio. the silence is to much. Nothing to do after a day of sight seeing

Lovely area, lovely home

There was no mirror in the room, no dustbin en no suitable plugs for cell phone charging. Also...maybe place a rechargeable lamp in the room for loadshedding. We were in complete darkness. A TV and small fridge in the room would make the experience more enjoyable.
