Extremely Disappointing Stay – Unethical Practices and Poor Maintenance My recent stay at this property was far from satisfactory. Several issues made my experience quite uncomfortable and disappointing. 1. Terrible Bedding Condition: The mattress is completely worn out and needs urgent replacement. It was uncomfortable and clearly beyond its usable lifespan. 2. Furniture Neglect: One of the counter chairs was unstable and requires proper repairs or tightening to avoid injury. 3. Insufficient Kitchenware: The unit had only three bowls, teaspoons, and spoons. For a rental property, a basic standard would be to provide at least four of each item to accommodate the standard guest capacity. 4. Access Issues: The key card failed to open both the door and the gate, indicating it needs reprogramming. This was highly inconvenient and should be addressed immediately. Cleaning Service Scam: Upon booking, I paid a cleaning fee of over R900, which was never clearly explained in the policy. I was led to believe this covered cleaning during my stay, but when I requested a cleaning service, I was told the fee only covered cleaning after checkout. I contacted the property management on the 10th, and they assured me someone would clean the apartment on the 11th, which never happened. This unclear policy feels deceptive, especially considering that daily cleaning services in Cape Town do not typically cost R900 for a day. This experience was deeply frustrating and felt like a complete rip-off.

It’s a lovely apartment. Super comfortable and furnished with everything you might need. We only stayed for one night, but could easily stay for a week! Lovely views of table mountain. I liked being able to drive in and park securely and take the lift up to the flat. Would definitely stay again.
