Sunray Cottage

A good location for us to do our family history research. Basic facilities but more than adequate for using as a base. Sheldon, the landlord, kept in touch throughout the difficulties with the power supply and gave a refund towards the time we were without power.

Sadly due to a major issue in the landlord's property next door, the electricity was cut off on Thursday evening and had not been restored when we left on Sunday morning. A public holiday and delays by the authorities didn't help. However, the landlord provided candles and the gas stove was handy. They also got an extension lead from a neighbour which helped mitigate the situation but with only 2 sockets we were limited as to what to use.

I have mobility challenges and getting into the bath where the shower is, was a problem. I probably should have seen that in the pictures but perhaps should be mentioned. Also access to the bedroom cupboard is made difficult by the position of the bed.

Fabulous comfortable bed. Beautiful linen. Lovely furniture throughout. Worried I might get grease marks on the dining table.

I think it would be easier to find if address was Disa Rd and not 1st Crescent. Because the entrance is not in 1st Crescent. Access was extremely difficult. From opening the high lock box. Information insufficient. To maneuvering 2 ridiculously high narrow steps with nothing to hold onto and then a gate with a temperamental awkward old lock. Not a happy traveller by the time I was inside. How do you wheel a suitcase over wood chips and little stepping stones. No bedside lights or bedside little table. No shelf or mirror for makeup in the bedroom. Kitchen very sparsely outfitted. No proper t cup. 20 minutes walk to Beach and no view.. Most upsetting was the discovery of a camera in the lounge area. Highly illegal and I think might even carry a jail sentence.

Beautiful cottage in quiet location, close to the beach and shops. The place was clean and comfortable and the host responsive to questions.

Easy self check-in. Nice location in a quiet suburb. Walking distance to the shops and the beach. Very neat place with a decent size bedroom and bathroom, and a separate lounge/kitchen. SUPER comfortable bed and pillows. Slept so well. Great place to use a base for exploring the False Bay area. Didn't get to use the braai because of all the amazing restaurants in the area but there was a great outdoor set up. The fan in the bedroom was a lifesaver. Would definitely stay there again.

A small coffee table in the lounge and a side lamp in the bedroom would have been nice. The shower leaked a little bit.

Loved everything about this place..Especially the mountain veiw while having breakfast . The cottage was nice and cozy. Will recommend this place to all my friends. A home away from home. Will definitely come again oxox

The flat had everything we wanted. The flat is also modern, the neighbourhood was quiet and truly made me feel home.

Fishoek itself. This flat is way too awesome for a town like Fishoek.
