We stayed here for ten nights. Very very happy here, any problems were sorted out by the hosts. We then booked another three nights. I have written a review for those extra nights. It became our home for those two weeks and we were sad to leave.

The bed was wonderfully comfortable, soft pillows and lovely cosy duvet. I slept like a log. Shower is in the bath, not so great if you're a shower-a-holic, but great with tea-lights for a candlelit bath, if you like a bit of decadence! Very quiet residential area. Gas hob really useful during load shedding as could cook and make hot drinks while the electricity was off. Gorgeous and sunny, the rooms were full of light. Might be a bit hot in Summer, but curtains could be pulled across. We were there in Winter and the sunshine really lifted our spirits. Lovely little walled, private garden to sun yourself in and a BBQ/braai if that's your thing, even a partial view of the mountain. Felt very secure. Padlock on the gate and a burglar-bar-style gate at the door to the cottage. Hosts live just next door on the same property, so easy to contact if you need something, but the cottage is private and self-contained, not overlooked at all. Close to the shops and high street only 5-minutes walk. Dining table inside, picnic table outside. Driveway to park your car on off the street (but no garage).

Lighting could be improved, especially while Eskom keep cutting the power off! Could do with a strong LED lamp for inside and an outside lamp to light up the path. Bring a head-torch and a lamp with you - always useful anyway in SA, as the power-cuts are here to stay... There are no sockets for bedside lights, so we used our load-shedding lamps as bedside lights too.
