Royal Mile Old Town Apartment

Very spacious and had everything we needed. Washing machine and dishwasher worked well and with the heating on very cosy and dried the clothes at the same time. Close to the tourism side of Edinburgh, within walking distance to many local shops and then Edinbrugh Castle and Arthurs Seat as well.

Excellent location. We could walk to the Royal Mile within a couple minutes.

The floor was so dirty that our feet left mud puddles in the shower. The bed is HORRIBLY UNCOMFORTABLE. You can feel individual springs in your back, and the mattress is thin, so you can feel the box spring underneath. The bedding was stiff and uncomfortable. But the worst of all was the BLACK MOLD in the bathroom. There was a ring of black mold on the floor beneath the tub, in all of the caulking, and on the roller window shade in the bathroom. The showerheads were also covered in mold. The bedroom window is at ground level with a cobblestone road, so cars and people walking with luggage is very loud. Also worth noting that there is a washing machine but NO DRYER function.

Lovely flat, great location, great having a small outside area to sit.. Well equipped kitchen area.

Main issue was the sofa beds. Really uncomfortable with hard bit down the middle which meant I was wedged in a small section. Not much space to hang clothes. Ideal flat if just 2 people Could be great for 4 people with a higher spec sofa bed

Doskonała lokalizacja, mieszkanie usytuowane w bardzo bliskiej odległości głównej ulicy Edynburga z mnóstwem sklepów i atrakcji ale jednocześnie jest położone od strony dziedzińca więc jest cicho i nie słuchać tego całego zgiełku 😍 Ok 15-20min spacerkiem do Zamku, 3min do przystanku autobusowego, mniej niż 10min do dworca kolejowego, w pobliżu klimatyczne uliczki, park, mieszkanie jest w samym sercu Edynburga. Kuchnia wyposażona w zmywarkę, naczynia, jest pralka i suszarka do włosów oraz do suszarka na pranie.

Zdecydowanie łóżka, niestety największy koszmar tego pobytu, byliśmy tu 2 osoby dorosłe +dziecko (nastolatek) I niestety syn nie mieścił się na żadnym z dostępnych tam jednoosobowych łóżek, są one po pierwsze BARDZO krótkie i powygniatane, synowi zwisały albo nogi albo głowa, są one serio dla dziecka do 160cm max ale i tak są mega niewygodne. Łóżko połowę dostarczone przez właściciela ma powyginane sprężyny a wystającą metalowa rurka w środku uniemożliwia jakiekolwiek leżenie. Zdecydowanie łóżka (wszystkie 3) są do natychmiastowej wymiany albo niech gospodarz spróbuje się przespać na którym kilwiek z nich. Łóżko w sypialni ok i finalnie syn spał tam z 1 dorosłym a drugi dorosły na podłodze na materacu i kołdrze w salonie.

Beds were awful. Bathroom radiator was leaking.

It’s in an excellent location, just steps from the Royal Mile and Old Town, surrounded by restaurants, pubs, shops, and plenty of sightseeing spots.

Unfortunately, this was one of our more disappointing stays. While the house has great potential, it’s poorly maintained and fell short in several areas: • Street-level apartment with no privacy or ventilation; space felt damp and musty. Entrance wags full of weeds that needed a spruce. A bit tricky to find • No wardrobe or storage, had to live out of suitcases. • Main bed was uncomfortable and in need of mattress replacement. • Sofa bed was sagging, uneven, and unusable even with extra mattress padding. • No mirror in the bedroom, which made getting ready inconvenient. • Despite booking for three, no third bed was prepared; rollaway cot was in poor condition. No duvet for 3rd guest • Additional linens were soiled, dirty. & unhygienically stored (e.g., presence of spiders). • Fridge and bathroom were not properly cleaned. leftover food from previous stay still in the fridge. • No kitchen basics (e.g., paper towels, sponge) just an old dirty rag. • Decor was mismatched; furniture worn-out, with a tiny TV awkwardly placed a coffee table away from the rest of the furniture • Poor Wi-Fi connection requiring frequent router resets. • Warm lighting and a few lamps could improve ambiance. Communication with the host was disappointing, delayed response to booking and no follow-up after we raised concerns post check-in. We’re well traveled and, sadly, this ranks as one of our least comfortable stays.
