The Broughton Retreat by Calton Living

Fabulous location! Walking distance from train and tram stations! Centrally located to so many city attractions. Cozy place. Loved watching the people walk by on the street. The hosts were super helpful and were able to accommodate an early check-in even though it wasn't promised. 😊

Tough to keep water in the shower with the set up, but the only true complaint is the condition of the sofa. It is uncomfortable to sit on due to sagging - so definitelyrecommend replacing soon. Other than that, everything was truly fantastic!

It was very convenient to restaurants, coffee bars, and grocers … and to the small apartment my family have in the area

When I arrived, a bag of food garbage was blocking the front door - extremely off-putting, I moved it to gain access, but for the next 3 days it was pushed back in front of the door. No heat. No TV ( TV was there but not functioning. Clothes washer only / no drying ability. Because of the heat issue, the towel bar wasn’t functioning. Hot water tap on bathroom sink needs repair. The burner caps on the stovetop have “ seen better days”. Thermostat system is very complicated to program. It took 4 days to have management properly respond to my concerns especially about the heat. I became sick, wore my day clothes and sweater to sleep in. Finally the property manager sent an assistant to the property manager. She was absolutely wonderful- I can’t say though about her - only that I wish that her boss had her come earlier. She programmed the thermostat, got the towel bar to function, and set all the heat registers.

This quaint flat is in the perfect location and in walking distance to all the wonderful points of interests in Edinburgh. It’s cozy and clean. The bed is comfortable and spacious. I made lifelong memories and would stay here again.

The couch was a bit uncomfortable to sit on after a while and the TV did not work.

The location was spot on, easy access to old and new town. The apartment is situated on a road with places to eat and drink very close by and the local supermarket was minutes walk also. Easy access to tramline to town, airport and the port harbour I really felt at home there and could have happily have stayed longer. Kitchen lounge TV bed etc were right for us. The host service were very helpful with our enquiries. I was blown away by the detail in their message response for info I asked for. On reflection we didn't book enough days for all that endingburgh has to offer. But we so rate it as a visit and I felt this apartment and the good vibes from the host contributed to this Instructions for check in and out were clear and easy to follow No noise in area on days we stayed is a big thumbs up for me. We slept well
