Jewel of Royal Mile Apartment

Location was perfect. Price was very reasonable. Very bright & clean apartment. Pretty much had everything you need. No stairs to get into the actual apartment but it is at the bottom of a hill so some uphill walking required once onto the streets.

As with most places we stayed on our trip.. a coat/umbrella stand at the door would have been nice. TV was very small (not that I came all the way to Scotland to watch TV, but..it was pretty tiny). Having to lug our trash all the way up and out to the royal mile when checking out. When traveling with lots of luggage and no car this can be a hassle. If the location of the garbage bin was closer..we didn’t notice it and directions could have been a bit clearer.

pillow case cover on bottom pillows was nearly in holes...grey towels in bathroom were very hard and covered in bleach stains...white towels also not good condition..the pans in the bottom drawer were a disgrace and should be binned..the frying pan was greasy and smelt ,,i had to clean everything before we used it ....NO WARDROBE just 4 coat hangers on a hook ...NO MIRROR in the bedroom just one in the whole appt...and that was in the bathroom so anybody in there then no mirror available....poor basic facilities ..!!

Scruffy around outside of apartment. Bedding of poor quality. Not vey Cosy and lacked warmth. Bit basic

Good location.

A full length mirror somewhere in the property would be helpful. along with a bath mat. The shower only runs extremely hot and it was difficult to moderate the temperature. However, overall, a good place to stay, with lovely welcome. Thank you
