The West Bow Apartment

The location more than makes up for the noise. The apartment was clean, the bathroom recently re-done, and we had everything we needed. It’s a five minute walk from the RM and the National Museum, at the foot of Victoria St, on the tour bus routes, in the midst of cafes and restaurants (Let Me Eat Too was our coffee and breakfast go-to). Emails with photos giving directions how to locate the apt and pick up the key were clear

Yes, with all those windows and all the pubs across the square, it was loud at night, as others have noted. Bring ear plugs and close the bedroom door

The apartment was in a very convenient location and was a good size. It was great to have a kitchen.

We didn’t realise that the area was known for restaurants and night life. On the Saturday night, it was very noisy outside and we got little sleep. The flooring, especially in the bedroom was quite warn and needs replacing.

Great location, right in the heart of the city. Very close to everything. The property was very clean and well resourced.

Requested early check in...but it seems the host did not really have the status of the cleaners to let us check in any earlier than specified.

Excellent communication from owner. East entry instructions to follow. Location was tops. Overwhelmed by the little extras the property owner supplied to make this a memorable stay.

Location to the castle for the Tattoo.

The smell from restaurants below very overpowering and you had no choice but to keep the windows open onto the Grassmarket. Was seeping up through the floorboards from below. Constant noise all day and night until 5.00am from people below in the street, the alley way next to the bedroom and in the flat above.
