Luxury Travel Emporium HG1 - 2 Luxury apartments with Parking Space - in town centre

We booked both apartments for 2 nights, for 10 of us. Nice and spacious for all of us to sit together, in the larger property lounge. The kitchen is large and had all the facilities needed. The beds were very comfortable. Walking distance to the town centre was a bonus and very close to the station.

The ensuite, in the larger property, has a lovely bath and a shower head, but that didn't work. So on both days I had a shallow bath and could have done with the shower working. Also, the toilet by the kitchen had a very powerful flush and water would end up on the floor.

Location, property and space.

Someone was parked in our parking space so had to pay £9.20 in a local car park for one of the days.

Not clean- false nail in sofa bed I personally wouldn’t say this is suitable for children as stated on listing, high beds, glass tables, heavy glass crockery etc £250 damage deposit taken before release of key code and kept for a week - just be aware before booking Not able to park in car park due to someone else being parked in our space - the parking was the reason we booked this apartment as we would be arriving home late from a family wedding with two small children and I’m 8 months pregnant. Rude neighbours (who were parked in our space) when attempting to load our car to leave

The location was great, and the size. The beds were also very comfortable.

It was very tired & felt a bit dirty. But our main issue was the damp - particularly the downstairs bathroom which even smelt damp, but also all the windows in the kitchen and living room were so wet with condensation and it all just felt cold and damp in these rooms

Good location in the centre of Harrogate with a parking space, lots of space for a multigenerational family. Young adults loved being able to walk to the PureGym. Bathroom/shower room downstairs was very good. Kitchen was very well equipped. Lots of space in the living room.

Overall the stay was great, nothing was a major problem, couple of little things, no shower, only a shower fixing over a bath in the en-suite. Found the thermostat in the kitchen was possibly affected by having the oven on which meant the rest of the apartment wasn't as warm but we did adjust the thermostat while we were there which helped. Parking was a bit tight.

It was nicely decorated

The sofa bed was so uncomfortable and the bedding was thin. I slept on it on my own but it would have been worse in a couple. I would say the property sleeps 4 and the sofa might be ok for a child only. The bedrooms stank of smoke which my mum and sister had to sleep in and the windows had been left wide open so it was very cold. The front room where I slept on the sofa bed was very cold and very noisy. The windows seemed to let drafts in which made it colder and noisier than a normal flat with double glazing. My mum also got locked in the first bedroom so the handle needs checking as she had to ring us to get out which was quite distressing for her. I also didn’t like the fact I had to upload ID and pay £250 security. I wasn’t aware of that on booking. The location was hard to find and the check in wasn’t until 4 and the host was not willing to let us park up earlier. We used the multi storey which was expensive and then moved the car. Overall a disappointing stay for nearly £300 for one night. We wish we had booked a hotel sadly I wouldn’t recommend this flat.

The rooms were light and spacious. Large double beds extremely comfortable and milk in the fridge on arrival with tea and coffee. Thank you. The staff teams’ responses to our problems were quickly and politely attended. The owners response for compensation was mean. Very short sighted on their behalf as I had hoped to return for a longer stay next year and would have liked to recommend this to colleagues.

The central heating was not functioning despite a call out during our stay so this meant we were cold and could not enjoy the spacious property. On our second last morning there was no hot water in one bathroom. This room had a nasty odour, possibly related. The keys were placed in the wrong safe box on arrival which took time to resolve. A human error of course, but annoying.
