The Portsburgh Square Residence

Linen collected before we had finished packing - towel gone so couldn't even dry my hands. Our check out time was 11am and it was collected at 10am - I was barely out of the shower. Not impressed with this given the cost of the stay

Based in the centre which made the journey easy, good coffee cafes around. Nice food and NPC (public car park is 5 min away)

It was a little smell of smoking (cigar)

The location was absolutely amazing and we liked the courtyard.

The smell - the property smelt of smoke or damp. Bin - hadn’t been emptied when we arrived. Bathroom - no way to ventilate after a shower which set off the smoke alarm and no plug for the bath which we did message about but this wasn’t resolved. Key Code - it was stressful trying to get this before our trip. Security Deposit - this is buried in the small print with no reminder like you would receive from other property rental companies. I hadn’t noticed this as we had paid in full months earlier and thought we were all set.

Location

Great location - 100 metres from the Grassmarket area & 400 metres from the Royal Mile, and at the base of Edinburgh Castle.

A little bit noisy due to the nightlife, but that didn’t last all night and is a small price to pay for the location.

La situation était excellente et c'est à peu prêt tout.

Meubles vétustes et en mauvais état, odeurs désagréables, literie très bas de gamme, douche à température variable. La chambre était surchargée de meubles encombrants. Nous n'y retournerons pas. Dommage vu l'emplacement.
