Everything was absolutely perfect! The place was beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. The host was friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

Location was perfect for our needs, right next door to the Edinburgh Castle. Apartment was clean and centrally located. The apartment had everything we needed and host includes a binder with all pertinent information about the apartment and area.

2 flights of very narrow stairs (one set outside and the other in the building were somewhat challenging to navigate with luggage. For older travelers, this should be a consideration, but if you're in good shape, the challenge of moving in with those stairs is well worth the location. The bedrooms in the apartment are small. But when you have such a great location at what I thought was a great value, something has to give. Those would be my only complaints, but the overall space in the apartment was sufficient for our needs (4 of us) and our stay was very enjoyable.

This apartment is not suited for family as there are NO lifts, so DO NOT BOOK. The stairs are steep and it’s a spiral staircase so this would not suit elderly people or families with a buggy. Please bear that in mind when you are booking and there is NO parking, this was advertised on the listing but there’s none. We appreciate the help from Mary for the nearest parking but imagine carrying all of your luggage in a hilly city to be then accompanied by more stairs. My 80 YEAR OLD mother was struggling to go upstairs and had difficulty breathing when arriving to the apartment. Plus, there was loud building works that was happening in the apartment which we could hear and wasn’t pleasant. If there was photos of the stairs, I would not have booked this apartment in the first place. I did not even stay overnight at this apartment, that’s how uncomfortable we were so I booked a hotel. We told Mary if we could do partial refund as that’s more than fair considering the accessibility of the accommodation. However, she insisted she could do nothing about it but booking.com informed me they could waive the cancellation fee as long as Mary agrees. Few weeks has passed and I still have not received anything. As a business owner, I understand this was non refundable but BE EMPATHETIC, FAIR and REASONABLE. If roles was reserved, I would have waived the cancellation fee but clearly the host cares about money than caring about guests.

Great apartment in Old Town. Close to everything. Beds were decent and the kitchen was well equipped. With a family of 4 the extra half bath was nice.

Booked the property knowing that there was a fireplace but sadly it wasn’t working. That should be taken off the list of amenities.

The location was excellent and the apartment fit our needs perfectly. Nice amount of space for 4 people.

The heater in the living room didn’t work, which would have been nice for helping dry clothes, but the central heating was great.

Location was perfect and beautiful

The proximity to Edinburgh castle is unmatched. I loved the old towne location and the area. The accommodations were exactly what we were looking for.

The instructions for getting in were in two different locations in the given information and conflicted with each other resulting in us having to stand in the sidewalk waiting for a response from the host that was unnecessary. At first glance the instructions seemed easy enough but when no one was there to meet us with a key (as the check in instructions stated) we began to try to contact the host. All attempts to reach them went unanswered. Out of frustration after 30 minutes of waiting, I started to pour over all the information and found a second set of checking instructions with the accurate information.
