La Casa Di Ago

Beautifully furnished, clean, comfortable, spacious and quiet apartment. Located on the edge of the city center, convenient for walking into the center. The owner takes great care to provide excellent service. It was also a joy to see that L’Aquila is coming back from the 2009 earthquake. What a beautiful city once again, with lots of nightlife in the center and great local stores.

It was a nice large room. It had great parking. It was within walking distance, of sights.

Getting in contact with the host, was difficult. We had to wait, for too long a time to get into the room.

The location was excellent for my needs; just a 5 min walk to the Gran Sasso Science Institute for a conference. The house is located within a short walk to down town and there are several good restaurants in its vicinity. Check in and check out was easy and clearly explained. The property was very clean and quite, and very spacious. I do not know how it would be if shared with others. It included cute old traditional details and a number of upgrades. For example the bathroom was renovated. The breakfast was great; it included home made cakes, yoghurt, fruit, pear juice, bread, salami, coffee and milk. The kitchen is fully equipped to serve a family, but no dishwasher, which I think it is not customary in Europe. The host was speaking English and was very prompt to offer information when asked.

The only thing that it was missing was instructions on how to turn on the hot water (not so obvious for North American guests). It will be also nice to have information on restaurants, where to buy wine and food/groceries. This of course can be easily fixed by the host, and with the access to internet easy to find.

showers without hot water, oven and cooking supplies not working (which we were compensated for with ice cream), incorrect location on map (fixed it on google maps), poor breakfast not as shown in pictures and it could be cleaner, my allergies were not good in the apartment

Very well located for exploring L'Aquila, very spacious.

It's next to a reasonably busy street and on the ground floor, so you need to close curtains for privacy and close windows if you want it to be quiet.
