The Outhouse - Ground Floor Studio

This property was ideal for a solo traveller. It was well set out and had all I needed. Very comfortable and quiet.

Comfy and clean. Kitchen had all the things needed to make a simple meal. Air con was fantastic. Quiet place to rest.

It was great.

A wonderful haven with everything you could need in a beautiful village full of history. Shops and amenities are a short walk away as are local walks and sights. I was staying on business but it was such a lovely, relaxing space and ideal for sightseeing the surrounding area. Super close to East Midlands Airport and Donnington Park but you wouldn't know it as it was very quiet. Can't recommend highly enough.

The location was great for my plans. Even though there was no private parking it was easy to park on the road outside. Lovely and cosy and quiet. The host was very helpful.

This was a great space for my dog and I for a weekend. Lots of kitchen things provided for such a little kitchen! It's a really comfortable bed and the underfloor heating and blackout ceiling blinds much appreciated (although I'm not sure my dog got the memo about the lie in!) The village is lovely, lots of lovely places to eat, some of which are dog friendly too. Can recommend the fish and chip shop!

Not so much didn't like but could have done with a full length mirror (I worked out you could put this on the back of the front door!) and a long poled squeegy for the wet room would be good for those of us that aren't as flexible as we used to be - but these are minor details!

The location is great for Melbourne village centre and surrounding walks at Calke Abbey and Staunton Harold reservoir. The Outhouse was a lovely place to stay - very clean, comfortable and had good cooking facilities.

We had no WiFi as it wasn’t working. Host came to check it whilst we were out but couldn’t get it working. Presume this is probably resolved by now.

Loved the fact it was dog friendly.

Came here to do RED driver training at the race track. Only 5 mins away and lots of lovely pubs and restaurants in walking distance. Host was really good at responding and answering any questions.

Great location. Small but functional and cosy. Perfect for a couple of nights.

Bed against wall made it hard for second person. Very small shower towel.
