Casa Fiorella

The host, Massimo, was very good. He was unable to meet us as we arrived later than expected, but his pleasant wife came to make sure all was well. During our stay Massimo made sure we had everything we needed and sent information for places to see, go, eat etc. during our stay. The location of the property was just perfect for us. It was just off the main street between the train station and the harbour. The station is a 5 minute walk one way and it is about 20 minutes down to the harbour and the boat trips. The main street is very busy with lots of people, cafes, restaurants, clothes shops etc. which can be easily avoided by using one of the quieter streets running parrallel. The property itself has been newly and tastfully refurbished. It is very comfortable (great shower and air conditioning) and supplied with everything you might need. It was very clean when we arrived. By the end of the week we were happy to call it home. The area is mainly built in 4 story blocks and this is in one of them. The blocks are built so there is a central courtyard. This property looks into the courtyard. Most of the properties are homes and the courtyard reflects this but although a little apprehensive at first we quickly got used to it and found it a very interesting experience.

There wasn't anything that we didn't like or have an issue with.

Casa Fiorella is a wonderful place to stay. It is fully furnished, quiet, clean, spacious, and has all the needed amenities. It is very close to the train station, well-connected to the local transport network (bus station is literally around the corner), the pedestrian zone of La Spezia is less than 5 minutes away, and there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Massimo, the host, was simply wonderful, very helpful, and responsive. He connected before our arrival to take care of the formalities, he waited for us at the apartment to welcome us, give the keys, and explain the house rules. He was kind enough to give some recommendations on where to go, what to see, and eat. He made sure our stay was great, and made the Cinque Terre experience even more enjoyable.

The hosts were very communicative. The towel warmer was great as was the shower.

Access was problematic for someone with mobility issues or someone with heavy suitcases. You need to descent a flight of stairs, cross two high thresholds and then ascend three flights to access the appartments.

It was absolutely beautiful, right by the train station as well so very convenient for travel. Air conditioning was amazing too and there was a lovely little balcony as well so I enjoyed a nice little aperitif in the evenings. Era davvero splendido, proprio accanto alla stazione ferroviaria, quindi comodissimo per gli spostamenti. Anche l'aria condizionata era fantastica e c'era anche un grazioso balconcino, dove mi sono goduto un piacevole aperitivo la sera.
