Gogalova Apartments

Location

Having to download another app, to use their virtual reception service, leaving a 120 E deposit. We prefer a more personal way of dealing with the host of the apartment.

I like that the location was quiet, the water of the shower was hot and they have a heating for warming the bathroom. I like that there were plenty of clean towels available. They have a TV and WIFI works properly.

I didnt like the method for opening the keybox as if you dont have internet connection you cant open the website. I didnt like that it doesnt have a wash machine as it was absolutely necessary for the days we stayed there (12 days). Also inside felt a bit cold as the heating was not turned on regularly. A toaster, mixer and a coffee machine are missing.

Location was close to the bus station, and close to the city with your car aswell(if you reserve parking place in the apartment prior to coming)

The stay was quite horrendous. On the very first day we were shocked by the amount of ants and other bugs, which insinuate overall dirtyness in the apartment. Further on, we found that to be true, because other than the ants being in every single room in the apartment including the fridge and shower floor/cabin, there were unchanged bed and pillowsheets with some hair on them(before we even layed down). When I wrote to the host about all of this we agreed that a cleaner would come tommorow (the second day of our stay, of 5 days in total) and deeply clean the place out, as they should have done before we even checked in. After the whole day of being outside of the apartment in Ljubljana, Bled etc.. we came back to see the EXACT SAME apartment situation, the ants and bugs aswell as the dirtyness (we even removed the pillowsheets and put them on the side of the bed so the cleaner wouldn't have to do all that, and when we came back not only were there no pillowsheets on the pillows, but the dirty ones were still on the floor UNTOUCHED, which means the floors weren't mopped either, otherwise the pillowsheets would get in the way=be removed). When i confronted the host on the second day, for the second time, he said that we could arrange for a cleaner to come on the 3rd day and change the sheets. Considering we left the apartment with all of our belongings out in the open, i didnt want anyone coming in. On the other side I quite frankly didnt believe any help asked from that man would be of use. Sound isolation is also really bad, when you reserve a room with a french bed you get 2 single beds, etc.. I'm writing all of this to warn any and all people of coming here. Pictures on booking look amazing, and reviews are somehow pretty good, which is why me and my gf came here in the first place. Unfortunately videos cant be put in reviews, only photos, so i screenshoted some of the videos I made throughout these days, both before and after the cleaner...

The apt was clean, the bathroom was large and had a great shower. It has its own dedicated private spot, super great if you're traveling by car. At night it's dead quiet so good nights sleep is guaranteed, even during the day it's quite, zero sound from traffic. The location is also great as the AC Obruč (ringroad) is 100m so no faffing about with traffic and traffic lights.

The whole process of getting into the apt. is a bit complicated, you have to download another app, register and complete some steps there. You have to have internet in order to access the app and get the keycode to get the key. Also you have to pay an additional deposit that's not taken into account into the main price (you get the deposit back). I understand the reason behind this and it's ok, it would be nice if this was explained before hand.
