Lovely light, spacious rooms with views along the River Wye valley. The furniture was comfortable and the apartment was ideally situated close to a number of walks, amenities and places to eat. We would happily stay here again.

The sanitaryware and plumbing were a little dated, but this did not spoil our stay.

Lovely spacious apartment, very warm, clean and well equipped, with a short cut direct to the Monsal Trail two minutes away. It would be ideal for two couples as two beautiful comfortable bedrooms each with an en suite. A particularly nice reading nook with lovely river views.

Slightly remote, 25 mins walk to the local pub, which didn’t bother us as we were on a walking break. You could hear the gushing of the river wye all the time which we found delightful, but light sleepers might want to bring ear plugs

The location was fantastic, the property was spacious and well equipped and Richard was very responsive to any questions we had during our stay.

The area is very muddy due to all the rain so with the white carpet on entry it was difficult to keep all mud off the carpets - perhaps a mat at the entrance would help with this?

The apartment was very large and airy but still snug and warm, with big windows letting in lots of light and beautiful views of the valley. Both bedrooms were large with full bathrooms, including full body showers over the baths, and instant hot water. The kitchen, diner, lounge was vast and the kitchen was full of everything you could need for a long stay, plus a separate utility room with its own sink and washer/dryer. There wasn't any noise from other apartments and the access doors had excellent security. The road to the mill is a single track, dead end, so there is no passing traffic, and several footpaths and trails lead directly from the property, but Buxton and smaller towns are only minutes away on the main road. The local pub was easy walking distance at the end of the track, very friendly and the food really good.

it's trivial, but the pillows were hard and the bedside lamps too small to shed any light into the room. There weren't any drawers, just wardrobes with no internal shelves. We weren't used to the continuous roar of the water from the river and mill race combined, and the bedroom windows didn't close tightly enough to block much of the noise, but there was a lot of flood water so it may normally be quieter.
