Topiary Barn - Stylish Accommodation in Rutland

What a fab stay! It's small but perfectly formed. We used the kitchen twice and there's just about everything needed keeping in mind the compact size. Comfy bed, really stylish decor and nice hot shower. Really liked the outside space as well even though it wasn't dry enough the enjoy - the whole experience felt considered and good quality. The location couldnt be better - we enjoyed walking to the local pubs and had a scrummy dinner in town. We liked the touch of having logs and firelighters, it was extremely cosy!

We also heard the bottles at 7am but didn't bother us in the slightest. When it rained, there's not a mat on the inside as the door is low and you can't help but tread water inside.

Lovely quirky cottage. Great attention to detail. Very helpful owner. Good location with parking.

The accommodation inside and out was outstanding and very well equipped! Located centrally in the town with a very short walk to all the amenities!

The building was attached to a pub, which was very noisy in the evenings beyond midnight Friday and Saturday and 11pm on Sunday when we heard a man and woman shouting very loudly at one another, so much so we could hear what they were saying! Add to this the late nightly dumping of glass bottles into a dustbin that was located on the outside wall of Topiary Barn, it was not conducive to a peaceful stay!

We loved the location and the barn had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Plenty of interesting independent businesses and buildings to visit and see.

The sink in the bathroom is a bit small, especially if you don’t want a shower.

Just enjoyed a delightful 6 night stay at the Box Barn. I found it utterly charming. It has an envious position in the centre of this small market town yet has a lovely country feel. Secure parking was appreciated, as was the little outside area where we often dined. A clever blend of cottage style décor with all modern appliances… I found it spotlessly clean and very comfortable. There are several nice restaurants within easy walking distance, and a CoOp store for general supplies just around the corner. Owner is very helpful. Will definitely stay here again.
