Excellent location.

Toilet did not have a lock

Very nice house in the rural area. The house is comfortable.

Small thing is that the lock on the bathroom is not working.

The location was lovely and having a pool table for entertainment made for a fun evening.

Either the photos on bookings.com need to be updated, or the accommodation needs to be updated again to match what is presented online. It’s disappointing to reach your night away for it to not match what you thought you had booked.

The Dog

Everything else, The cleanliness levels were not acceptable, we decided against using the hot tub as there was a scum ring around it before use, the hut it’s in had not been swept or cleaned and was full of dust and leaves which we would have understood if it were not fully enclosed, it just hadn’t been cleaned! We were not left a cloth, sponge dishtowel or kitchen roll and was only supplied when we complained! The kitchen cupboards were filthy one of our Party cleaned them all as we didn’t want to put clean dishes back into a dirty cupboard, the drawers were broken, utensils were slim, no egglifter or tongs, two frying pans one was to big for the induction hob so didn’t heat up properly, the other was so buckled and burnt it just smoked anything you tried to cook! We never even sat in the living room as the lounge suit looked so dark and dirty! But the final straw was finding somebody’s grey t-shirt in one of the beds, which clearly meant the bed linens hadn’t been changed between stays! There was cobwebs and dust everywhere! We are a pretty easy going bunch of people, but this was too much! The whole place needs to be painted and deep cleaned! So disappointed with the whole experience it was supposed to be a lovely weekend in the country to celebrate with family! Instead we huddled in the kitchen that we cleaned ourselves to avoid the rest of the house!

Location beautiful. Size of property and rooms amazing. Cheap overnight stop for a funeral Could be a really lovely place to stay. The kids were thrilled to meet the dog on the door step in the morning.

Didn't appear to have been fully cleaned before our stay- guessing that was because we were 1 night midweek. The kitchen bin was full and the bathroom bin had dirty nappy in it. Quite of few of the plates and cups were dirty in the cupboard so we had to clean before use.

We loved this cosy Scottish cottage! It's big, beautifully decorated, and peaceful. The kids loved the games room, watching the ducks in the garden, and playing with the dog! I definitely recommend it!
