Smugglers Loft

Excellent base, the location was great, good to have your own space to come and go rather than a hotel room, kitchen had everything you could possibly need. Great hosts answered any questions very swiftlykl.

The outside was a bit gloomy with having to pass the smelly bins to get to the apartment, but it can't be helped. But once in all, ok. My in-laws struggled with the spiral staircase, but they got the best bedroom, the smaller bedroom is snug, my husband and myself prefer a bigger bed, it was very cosy! Would maybe benefit from a foam mattress.

Great location, clean and comfortable. We loved the basket of treats with short bread, crisps and chocolate to welcome us. Plus coffee, tea, sugar and other cooking essentials like olive oil, salt, dishwasher tablets, etc, that made our stay much more comfortable and relaxed.

Access was problematic because the key box would not open when we put code in. Key box also situated far too high on the wall making it very difficult to see if we had entered correct number (we had), also 'porch' light didn't seem to work.

Easy to find with good directions and to collect keys. Short walk to harbor. Two bed two bath. Well equipped kitchen with sharp knives. Electric fireplace. Along Fife Coastal Path. Good value. Cute lighthouse layout but lots of stairs.

Needed shampoo and conditioner.

It's very close to the town center so going for a meal or doing shopping was not a problem at all. The 2 level layout made easy to put my children to bed upstairs and then enjoying the evening downstairs.

Great location, very comfortable apartment, lots of lovely touches. Good base for exploring the East Neuk.
