The location was very good

The apartment door is very old and broken. We were locked inside the apartment, one student (16) outside on the street. Couldn’t get out of the apartment to open the front door. Customer service didn’t respond but handed a whatsapp number where no one responded. In the end there was an emergency key when I threatened to call the police and have the door broken in. We had agreed to be able to leave out luggage in the apartment the last day until 16:00. If the cleaners moved the luggage, they would let us know where to and how to access it. The luggage was gone, no message, no photo where to find it. With passports etc. We called the help line and they hung up. Called again, they said they’d call us back but never did. Called again and got again a number to write whatsapp. They send us the numbers of the cleaners who went straight to voicemail. The other renters in the building helped and called the house owner and the owner of the service company who is in Bonn, not Wuppertal. Reply to me was after 30 minutes a picture of our stuff in a locked room. No indication where the room was. We tried all doors. All locked. Then the info, which door it was. Did not open. They said it wasn’t locked. After we got desperate we were ready to force the door open and gave it some kicks. That’s when it opened finally. That was, after we finally knew which door it actually was and where. Reply from the cleaner who did pick up when one of the neighbours called- you were lucky you could leave your luggage. So rude! If they had said no, we had left at 10:00 and rented somewhere else or sat with the things in a cafe. This was so scary and stressfull and such ride comments and hanging up! Also, there is only to portable induccion plates which are weird and beep to cook. No oven like on the pictures. Only microwave. No smoke alarm in an old wooden house! The blinds are broken, so no daylight in the living room as they do not stay up.
