Nothing - never managed to access property

When I arrived, there was key snapped in the external block door - so could not gain access to the apartment. I contacted the owner, who arrived quickly and he either offered to leave external door on the latch which I said would be insecure (and also impractical as there were other residents in the block that could lock it again), or offered me an alternative ground floor apartment. I wanted the one we had booked that was not on the ground floor, so said I would cancel the booking as it did not feel safe. He then quite rudely refused to refund me. Considering that I had only booked it 30 minutes before arriving (and it was already 7pm), I feel its highly unlikely that it would be rented again to someone else that day, so a refund would have been simple and appreciated, and would probably not have cost him another booking. Very dissatisfied with this service.

Really spacious and clean

Took us a while to figure out the oven and the symbols had rubbed off and could not find the instruction book straight away. Contacted the owners and they helped me out swiftly.

Excellent location- walkable to the town.

Very basic kitchen equipment- don’t expect to be able to cook in it. Quite dark - lighting could be improved- needs more mirrors to brighten the place up and for getting ready for going out. Beds weren’t that comfortable, having played musical beds with the children. Electrics in the kitchen were interesting.

It was spacious, bright and airy. It was located just outside the hustle and bustle of Colchester town centre so we all slept very well. My sister left her jeans in the wardrobe by mistake and the hosts posted them back to us free of charge which was very appreciated.

Nice and spacious apartment . Only 2 of us stayed but would easily fit 4 adults comfortably. Nice touches , washing up liquid , hand soap and super cute mini tooth paste and brushes . Well equipped . Both beds were really comfortable .

The communal areas carpets are dirty and there is a horrible smell . Communal door is not very secure . However the smell could not be smelt in the apartment .

Clean, tidy and well furnished throughout in modern, but tasteful decor.

Road noise a bit intrusive at night, otherwise nothing to dislike.
