TRThe only good thing is the location
The apartment , sheets, pillows were smelling terrible.
NLPrachtige locatie! Hartje Leeuwarden, alles op loopafstand. Mooi, ruim appartement met alles erop en eraan. Modern en fris ingericht. Schoon! Aanrader!
Het is een beetje gehorig maar dat heeft ons niet echt gestoord.
NLLocatie in leeuwarden ideaal gelegen. Wel lastig dat je niet met de auto voor de locatie kan parkeren: zeker vermelden bij de informatie.
Eigenlijk niets
NLLeuke plek Midden in t centrum!
Heel gehorig, klamme lakens
NLWe stayed here as a couple (aged between 30-50) for a week and a half in summer. It's right in the middle of the city centre, so if you're looking to have everything you need closeby, including lots of options for restaurants and drinks, then this is the place for you. It's quite nice to be able to wake up in the morning and walk to the bakery around the corner for some breakfast and coffee. The appartment offers a lot of convenience: there is a dishwasher, a washer/dryer (although no place to hang the laundry that can't go in the dryer), a large and comfortable shower and bed and also the couch is nice. Oh and there is a Netflix account already logged in for those of us that are not subscribed. Also the host was nice.
The downside about being in the middle of the city centre in an old house though, is that you can literally hear everything that is going on outside. In the street next to the house as well as a block down the road. You've got the city in your living room basically. And considering leeuwarden is a place filled with students, there were people out and getting drunk every single night. Not just on the weekends. So yeah if you are a light sleeper this may not be the place for you. The bedroom was in the basement, mostly underground. This meant it constantly smelled kinda bad and damp and we couldn't open the windows either cause there were so many mosquitos waiting to get in. Also there was not a lot of space to put your clothing anywhere. Oh and if a fire was to break out in the kitchen while you're sleeping and you were unable to get back up the stairs because of that fire, you basically just have to pray the firemen get it under control quick cause there is no other way out of the bedroom (the windows are barred from the outside) and I didn't see a fire extinguisher either. The kitchen had enough supplies (although not even a single dishwasher tablet was present upon arrival) but was missing one important thing: an extractor. Parking here is a bit of a pain, because you cannot park in the street right in front of the appartment unless you actually live on that street. Also you're not allowed to drive into that street past 12:00. The host did offer a whole list of other places to park which were about a 5-15 minute walk away, along with prices and links to the websites. Although not Amsterdam prices, if you're staying a while it will add up. Lastly, and what we personally thought was worst, is that we found about 5 large moths waiting for us when we arrived. We managed to get a couple out but the others stayed with us the entire time.
