The Garden Suite

Location great.

Very noisy apartment above. Excessive noise levels meant poor sleep throughout the trip. Shared use of garden presented issues with gear left on all benches, which meant not always able to be enjoyed freely. Garage long walk away and when went to collect car was blocked in. Driver of van left card inside garage in case of future issues but unfortunately meant we missed our trip. No need for dishwasher tablets with no dishwasher, limited cooking utensils and hoover needs to be emptied by cleaning team as smelt like wet dog prior to arrival. Not clear recycling system!

Location and accommodation were excellent - good view, quiet, and very short walk to the beach.

Car parking was provided in a garage (good), but this was a bit of walk away; probably unavoidable for a property so close to the sea front. A convenient public car park is very close however (free overnight).

Locks and doors need maintenance. Full vacuum cleaner greets you at the door. Cleaning products not put away. Lots of rules about what to do e.g don’t move the furniture. One toilet roll supplied for two people for three days. ‘Self catering’ was the response to a complaint about this . Catering only applies to food and drink. No one would answer the telephone at management. No surfaces available for putting open suitcases. 440 pounds for 3 nights is top dollar for this accommodation and it should be much better and more welcoming.

Great location, perfect cottage for a couple. Everything you would need for a holiday by the sea.

Ground floor dependent on people above being quiet, hooks needed in bathroom & in lounge area for coats. A map would be good to show where the car parking garage was! Not easy to find.

Sofa and chair a little uncomfortable

It was perfect being on the ground floor and close to amenities and the little courtyard was great for our dog with a quiet little road outside.

Sadly the weather was bad but we will definitely come and stay here again

The room was bright and fairly spacious. The bed was comfy. Location is excellent and really made the trip perfect for our needs. A nice little outside space at the back for our dog and a garden at the front with a gate so he was well contained and couldn’t wonder off. The outside space at the front is nice to sit at with a glass of wine!

On arrival the bins were overflowing and full. We didn’t realise the bin collection day was Monday (we arrived Sunday) so they were not collected, not sure why the cleaners didn’t put them outside? Also the garden could have been trimmed back a bit as there was a prickly plant by the gate which you had to brush past. There is an apartment above which is rented out and there is no soundproofing so the footsteps were very loud. The rear gate’s latch was broken so it couldn’t be locked. Also the water heater is in the bedroom and is very loud, waking you up when it comes on.
