The Consulate

Close to the old town, the local bus stop, taxi rank and hop on and hop off bus we’re outside the front door. Close to the park and fabulous restaurants. The 24 hour bakery was a life saviour. The host had left water , fruit , coffee and wine.

The property was very difficult to find although it was on the corner of a main street. Better directions are needed and the host did not greet me as mentioned in the booking

Our stay at the Consulate was wonderful. The apartment reflects a distinguished taste in decoration and generosity in comfort. Philip is a great host. Thank you for the experience. The place is absolutely in our list to come back.

Great location in the heart of Corfu town on a relatively quiet side street. Stylish and spacious room with great AC and ceiling fan. Loved having a small kitchen to prepare coffee and breakfast. There was good hanging space for clothes and it was nice to have a washing machine and laundry detergent. Welcome drink in the fridge was a nice touch. Instructions on how to access the property were clear and Philip was very communicative and helpful. He got in touch to ask if we needed anything and brought around some extra coffee capsules straightaway.

The only downside for me was the lack of counter space and light/circulation/air in the bathroom. We found it a little difficult to dry our towels. Other than that it was a fantastic stay!

It’s a lovely old building with great character the entrance hall has been renovated very well - retaining the charm of the original building we really liked that . I always like to have a view - the front room does look out over the park and has a balcony - but the side rooms look into the street and it was a little dark . The appartment is renovated very well - the appliances are good quality and the renovation is tasteful and in keeping

Everything was perfect

Lovely apartment. Initially I was disappointed as there weren’t the views I was expecting. But that was my fault for not checking the accommodation details more closely. Great location being so close to town centre yet quiet. Nicely decorated and furnished . Useful kitchen and laundry facilities. Only one flight of stairs so not too inconvenient for less mobile ( I have a knee problem).

Difficult accessing the bathroom in middle of night without disturbing partner. For the price it would have been nice to have had some complimentary bottles of water. Difficult to locate initially . More precise access details prior to arrival would have been useful. Would definitely stay again.
